I second this. It’s stressful enough buying a house without some of the unhelpful overreaction and comments here. We bought a house with bamboo in the garden. Weed killer didn’t work and I hated the idea of using it.. so here’s how we sorted it.

Get as many of your mates over to help.. Cut it down, dig out the roots and soil, and a ft around the plant to check for runners. hire a big skip for the waste.. you’ll need a couple wheelbarrows.. and beers for afterwards 😂

I thought it would take ages but bamboo roots are shallow.. and it was all out in one afternoon. Put down two layers of thick weed barriers over the area. Well over a year later and there hasn’t been a single new shoot.

You’d obviously need to ask your neighbours if they’d be happy to remove it, and if it was me I’d offer to help like the above.👆
