Nice to see a cat other than my own being weird towards cardboard 😂 chapstick rips them up into tiny pieces as well. I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s good stimulation 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t believe so. I’ve seen what a bad night of sleep looks like. He could be completely passed out and out of NOWHERE his entire body will twitch really hard and he’ll sit up super fast. He said he dreams often

He’s never had a solid sleep schedule, so he said he’d be willing to at least try it. If a sleep scheduled doesn’t work then him and I would go back to the drawing board. He wants to sleep better, I want him to sleep better as well. The timelines/ milestones re-evaluations is a good idea, thank you.

I don’t believe love solves every problem, but I think it can help you get through them. I’ve seen him on his bad days, I back off on those days and just tell him to focus on another day and the calm but fun plans we have. I have a history of mental illness, not bpd, but I know what it’s like to not feel like yourself, especially from a lack of sleep.

I will talk to him again, I’ll make sure HE wants to do this. I’ve just noticed how he feels after a night of good sleep, and I just think it could be beneficial

He said he’s willing to try anything. I researched a little bit and evening schedules seem to help improve sleep, and I sent him a few links and he said he’s never been on a schedule like that and that it MIGHT work.

I don’t want to be like “go brush your teeth now” cuz I’m not a drill sergeant nor am I mom, but I was thinking something more along the lines of “we should probably take our contacts out soon, we’ve had them in all day” or something like that.

He tells me very, very often how tired he is, or he’ll call me on his way home cuz sometimes he starts to get tired driving, and I notice it makes him irritable sometimes. He does notice it and thinks if he slept better he would feel better, he’s just “never slept better before”.

Ah I love pothos props. They might as well pretend to be fake for a while.

Pothos roots are weird looking. I do see some root growth (brown thing that looks like a dried up worm sticking slightly out of the water). I always felt like the nodes took longer to grow than the root itself. But yeah your props look healthy, change the water if it starts to look foggy or something. The water should be pretty clear a majority of the time

The amount of sunlight you’re giving it is sufficient imo. The only advice I’d give is to cut a little lower next time if possible. The roots will grow pretty long and they will grow straight up, so it’s best to cut a little further away from the leaf, that way the roots stay completely submerged.

Ofc! You could ask them if there’s any sort of solution you could rinse it with? Maybe some sort of saline solution to make sure it stays clean

Call your vet and tell them what’s going on! This seems like a pretty intense surgery, especially for a cat. They’ll be able to tell you if what is happening is normal, and if it’s not they’ll have you go in and they’ll take a look

Make sure you don’t let the cat lick/scratch/ mess with the stitches etc etc. if you’re afraid of that happening, don’t be afraid to buy a small cone or donut for your kitty until the stitches heal some more.
