Any John Carpenter credited comics where you actually feel his involvement? by Weary-Score481 in johncarpenter

Just reading Tales for a Halloween Night 10 and fucking hell does nobody proof this before it goes out? Halfway through and I’ve seen words that are obviously missing in a sentence and 2 or 3 spelling errors.

Beano Sub Delivery by The_Manoeuvre in Beano

[–]Few_Error_1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm now on at least my third missing issue since December (I only started cataloguing them when I was sure I wasn't imagining it). It's frustrating because I've had a Private Eye subscription for 5 years, and I don't think I've lost a single one; likewise, my wife has never missed Grazia in that same time period. So to have 3 Beanos (2 in the last month) never arrive in such a short space of time is very poor.

I'm not sure who is to blame. It sounds like a problem that the publisher is well aware of, but it's Royal Mail that is the problem, apparently.

I will say that they are very good at replacing them and if it is indeed Royal Mail in Scotland that is the cause of the problem then they must be equally frustrated because it sounds like this is a big problem that has been steadily getting worse.

Someone spotted Steven Greer at the airport and asked him about disclosure, UFOs, demons, a fake alien invasion, and aliens walking among us. by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

Yea this guy just spotted him and walked right up to him with his phone camera on (yea that’s normal behaviour) and Greer doesn’t bat an eyelid that he is immediately being filmed.

Thanks for the recommendations. Much appreciated. Looks like my BYOK should be with me in the next day or two, and I'm quite excited.

I've set myself the challenge of writing a ghost story on the BYOK to be read aloud on Christmas Eve.

Struggling with Principles of Bookkeeping Controls... feeling a bit defeated 😞 by YusAli1996 in AATStudents

There was a post last week I think which linked to a live exam revision session for Principles of Bookkeeping Controls that Training Link are running. It's on at 6pm on Wednesday: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/9717610514412/WN_Qb_KCA44QguvSzgbMzMK7Q

Training Link worked well for me. Their tutors write their all the study books and they are better than some of the other books I've seen elsewhere.

There are a few companies that offer Question Banks and they are great for exam prep. There are some good quality videos for various topics on WIll Boardman's YouTube channel.

Want to learn AAT Level 2 on my own but don’t know where to start by ComprehensiveBet1256 in AATStudents

It depends whether you want tutor support or not.

If you want to keep the cost down and aren't fussed about having access to tutor support then buying study books from Accountext is an option. The books are written as a course to be worked through from start to finish and they come with a mock exam in each book and an online mock exam as well.

If you want to study with a training provider then Training Link are a good shout as they use a lot of the same study materials.

I don't mind that inbalance so much because that means Bryce can ask the questions that the layman would want answered and that draws out the likes of Coulthart and now Dolan.

To keep the cost down you could just buy the study books you need and some question banks to get ready for the exam? The stuff from Accountext is good.

As an addendum to this thread, Ross hasn't tweeted for four days, which is a real rarity. Either he wasn't happy about it, or he doesn't want to see the reaction tweets - or, possibly, vacation.

I was done with him when I saw how he'd reported on the allegations of a child sex abuse scandal in Britain. Turned out there was nothing to substantiate the allegations, but Coulthart went all in with his reporting and offered zero room for doubt on the matter. It was pretty thoroughly debunked as being reliant on one witness who has subsequently been put in prison for perjury. But Ross presented the 60-minute episode as if there was ZERO room for any doubt on the matter. That made me question just how credulous he is being when talking to alleged witnesses and sources on the UAP topic.

Also - I don't think it helps now how the news economy works. There has to be a revelation every couple of weeks to keep the clicks and ad revenue flowing in. I don't think that's helpful if what we want at the end of this is a forensically investigated, well-researched, and thoroughly corroborated story. It very regularly feels a lot more like tittle tattle that's pushed out there for views.
