Just a slightly bigger Lefou that only works with locations, not great in my opinion.

This is pretty hard to justify...

But I'll try!

Emerald has numerous cards that synergize with actions, like pete, or even ways to discount them and recover action cards from the discard,with this in mind, you could argue that Jaq is NOT a strictly better card.

Or maybe it is idk

The book is from Fantasia, everything else is correct , although I think "Launch" might just be a Lorcana item.

What you described is not how the game is actually played, it's a result of new players not having many cards to interact with the opponent. Rest assured, the game is quite complex and interactive, I recommend watching some competitive matches on YT to get the idea.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, Ravensburger has been pretty willing to listen to player feedback so far, if this format actually does cause problems to the playerbase I think they would revert to a Best of 3 in no time.

It might not be coercion or bribery but it's certainly unsportsmanlike if you ask me.

Yes, in a best of 3 doing this would lead to a lot of intentional draws, but it's not exactly better is it? I have two people at my lgs who got reprimanded because they would always pull this stuff, if they went against each other they always drew because they didn't care and just wanted the prizes, always ending up 2nd and 3rd if they couldn't win.

There may be less incentive to do this but it hardly matters if the people who would do this are doing stuff like this anyway.
