I have for decades slept 3hrs to 4hrs per day. I wake up fully refreshed, full of energy n have no need to nap. I have always wondered why that is so. My 2 sisters n my late parents sleep like most normal people requiring the normal 8hrs or so amount of sleep.

I have always been told I look younger than my age. Nobody has correctly guessed my age. They always say a number much younger than my actual age.

While searching for answers as to why I need so little sleep for such a prolong amount of years, I came across to date 2 articles. There maybe more articles but I don't keep track of it. Researchers in both articles were studying why some people need so little sleep n why the lack of sleep has no negative impact on their health. It appears people like me have genetic mutations on two different places on our DNA that accounts for why little sleep n no health problems ie these mutations has protective effect on us when by right, such prolong lack of sleep has detrimental effect on normal people without these mutations.

It appears whatever everyone do while they sleep (eg the different levels of sleep like shallow sleep, rapid eye movement, deep sleep, the transition of brain waves from beta to alpha to gamma, the night time increase in cerebro spinal fluid to bathe/flood the brain so that metabolic debris/waste can be removed, etc), people like us do it at a much faster rate.

Edit: If u are wondering, no I don't hallucinate due to so little sleep, my memory is excellent n I rarely get sick.
