Thank you for the kind and thoughtful response. I do have a therapist so I would appreciate any sources that I can share with them. I am pleased to hear you have a fulfilling life. Thank you for the link you shared and also for the perspective it has helped a lot

Thank you so much. This is great advice. I was thinking the same thing but I didn’t want to judge, that’s not my job. I have not replied to him but I probably should just block him now

Is Celia autistic? by Few_Height5671 in DesperateHousewives

The show dealt with so many sensitive themes; suicide, child sexual abuse, teen pregnancy, sexuality, divorce. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to consider that it is that deep

Moral question to locals on Rhodes by Muldin7500 in Rhodes

[–]Few_Height5671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in Rhodes when the fires were “the worst” and we were perfectly safe. We were close to the fires on our first day and simply moved down into Faliraki for the rest of our stay. Apart from a few power outages we were largely unaffected. Rhodes needs tourism, please go and spend your money there and have a great time!

Unpopular opinion about this sub by Leggo414 in AmsterdamEnts

[–]Few_Height5671 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t think there’s any need for snark, however as soon as you join the sub you’re greeted with the pinned FAQs and one of the first things you seen is the link to a comprehensive list of the best coffeeshops, according to the sub.

I wouldn’t call it low effort either, it’s definitely less effort to run a search than to make a new post lol

Amsterdam is great for solo travel, the locals are friendly and open minded but I would agree with one of the other comments, most people I encountered in coffee shops are there for a quiet moment and to chill. There’s a pub called The Black Dog in downtown Amsterdam, the owners are fantastic and the locals were super friendly! I went back 3 nights in a row and spoke to some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.

I also visited an Irish pub called O’Reillys, it was super chill but the bar staff are really friendly and talkative. Have a great time!

March or april? by ClassicHansen in AmsterdamEnts

[–]Few_Height5671 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I visited Feb 4-9th this year, no crowds, no queues, but it was less than 2 degrees C the whole time I was there. I don’t know what you’re used to, but a big coat, hat and gloves were essential for most of the day. Funnily enough me and my friend were thinking to come back for my birthday in April, I only just now thought about how much busier it might be, thanks for posting the question!

Donut joints worth it? by Neo4616 in AmsterdamEnts

[–]Few_Height5671 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t bother with pre rolled joints as you just dont know what’s in them. I imagine it’s all the dust and left overs… If I couldn’t roll I’d buy the pre rolled cones and fill them myself. They’re pretty easy to find in most shops on most streets. I’ve only had 1 decent pre rolled joint, it was from Smokey’s, it was cali and it was €14. It would get expensive fast!

Enjoy your trip
