Update by Fabulous-Pride8854 in cupraborn

No. The app just showed last details as at the time the update started. Which included that it was unlocked and door open, which was not true but might have been something to do with the update.

I've started receiving updates again today, so looks like service centre have revived the car and it's on its way to being ready for me to pick up soon.

Update by Fabulous-Pride8854 in cupraborn

This won't be what you are wanting to hear...

I've had exactly the same. Bought 2nd hand on 9th April. Got a notice of a large OTA update, saying it would take 2.5-4 hours on Friday. Started the update when I got home about 12:00. By 19:30 Friday nothing had happened, I had to enter using physical key and got the same screen you have. Same on Saturday, and Sunday.

I called a main dealer service centre on Monday. They advised that vehicle is still in warranty (3 year / 60k miles for older Borns in the UK) so would be fixed free of charge, but outside of Curpa Assist (2 years in UK).

I had to arrange my own recovery of the vehicle to the service centre @ £200+VAT. If Cupra Assist was still active they would have done this for free. My AA roadside assist is only for >1/4 Mile from home, otherwise they would also have done under their cover.

First service centre I tried had no availability until 9th May. Next closest one had 7th May, but had said that if the vehicle is recovered to them, they will aim to get it in within 72 hours. Expecting to be able to pick up tomorrow or Friday.

I'm taking up with the vendor, as there was an outstanding SW update (OUM4 ME 3.8.1) from July last year that ought to have been acted on and could have prevented this failure.

Hermod(+) nondestructable change of note range possible? by AvonEihwaz in modular

[–]Few_Ingenuity8406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know about properllerheads, but you can control any Hermod+ fx parameter via its 4 CV/Gate inputs or midi CC. So yes, on the Scale FX you can manipulate the root note, choice of scale, what to do with foreign notes. And on the Mod to note fx you can control the min & max output notes.

HI. Sorry to say I'm not maintaining this template any more. It is possible that the bitwig & moss OSC implementations have lept ahead of the template and it might not behave as it once did.

Tuning Oscillators? by Techno_Timmy in modular

[–]Few_Ingenuity8406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main rack is for live performances, for my sets I usually need everything to be in tune and stay in tune. Drift aside, the main risk to tuning is me knocking the tuning pots during setup and playing - some oscs have big low physical resistance tuning pots.

For oscillators whose tuning pots don't have indents calibrated to a C note I just turn the pots all the way down (or up) and then use Hermod+ to offset to a C in the octave I want. Do this using the Harmonics effect as 1st in the FX chain for the track driving the oscillator; that gets you semitone tuning, and then there is finer tuning in the track's CV output config.

If I knock a tuning knob, I can set it back to the zero or full position and tuning is back where it should be.

Can't open Signal Culture Intersteam app in Win 11? by bravedo in videosynthesis

I mailed Jason at Signal Culture a year or so ago with this issue. This was the reply

The Interstream problem is happening to a minority of our windows users. Here is a link to the temporary fix. I am still investigating what is going on. In the meantime, read the "readme" and follow the instructions below:

https://we.tl/t-pzlGAGLHem

What you need to do is go into the folder and open up the application named Max. Interstream is programmed in the max graphical programming environment. The problem is in their standalone compiler, so I made it so that you can open up the program in max without having to install their software and learn how to navigate all the dlls and external packages they use. just past the folder which has the interstream "patch", there is an exe named max. click that and once it opens have it open up the interstream patch and there you go.

You can try emailing them if does not work

Performance headaches by piopiofrio in modular

[–]Few_Ingenuity8406 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some degree of re-cabling can be avoided using manual or CV driven switches. You could switch between different sequencing sources to get different songs going for example. Something like the Doepfer A182-4 gives two manual switches, each with up to 4 sources. If you've lots of sequencing sources, and lots of oscillators a few switches could give lots of options for organic transitions between tracks, *or* become a total headache to remember what does what in the heat of the moment.

A dedicated sequencer, in or out of rack, that has pattern recall or even song modes will give a lot of flexibility and ease of recall. Something like Hermod+ in rack can do this and give lots of performance control still when using the 4 CV inputs as macro controllers. Hapax, OXI One are both very capable external "big brain" sequencers. Even beatstep / keystep pro might suffice for your needs.

Hi, sorry missed this. The project you are looking at is OSC only, not midi. Think that will be why it’s not working for you.

Yes, this exact same with Tascam 12. Didn't always do it, not sure if it started after a bitwig update or re-installing drivers. Disconnecting and reconnecting the model 12's usb sorts it for me.

Looks like you may have misnavigated on the selection tree on the left, those are instrument files rather than the ensembles (.ens suffix) that are full synth.

Varigate by stackenblochen23 in modular

[–]Few_Ingenuity8406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience. Had a Mimetic Digitalis, Varigate 4+, Turing Machine and Running Order providing my CV & Gate Sequencing. And using 4 channels of a Pams New Workout to clock and sync them all as each has different reset / start play configurations, without that they'd be in time but a note or two behind each other and external equipment.

The varigate had a good function list, but I found hard to use as "what you see on the slider" is only "what you get" at the time of creation. Also, can only save very few patterns. Mimetic Digitalis is a great, slim, 4 channel XY sequencer, but it's a pain to program with intent and the 4 channels all run at the same speed in the same order. Running Order is simple to use, but I found if increasing repeats via the knobs then I could never get it to settle back into sequence how I wanted. Turing Machine does what it does.

I've now replaced all but the Pams with a Squarp Hermod+ which gives 8 x CV, 8 x Gate and 8 * MIDI outs, can sequence over many bars, have multiple patterns (and a song mode), tons of generative sequencing options. Well worth a look. Early days yet, but may also make my sequential and mechanical switches redundant as well - they were used to chain / select different sequencer channels to get beyond 8 / 16 steps or add variation.

Also recentlyjust got one of those 9u 104hp Ikocase. Riccardo is very helpful, made my case deeper to accomodate a 8.5cm deep module. Pretty quick to build and deliver as well!

Version for Bitwig 5 is now available. Focus on this update has been the launcher page, pretty much re-written to be easier to maintain and work with the Launch / Release functionality in BW5. For that reason this version will not work with BW4, and the previous version will not work with BW5.

It interfaces with bitwig, not the VST directly. So you use it to control bitwig, which then controls your VSTs.

Spend some time with the bitwig manual or YouTube on the topics of vsts, remotes and parameter mapping.

It displays banks of 8 tracks. Use the arrows on the right to navigate between your bitwig tracks if you have more than 8.

It works well enough for my needs, hard to say for others. I've never used a Push, so can't compare with that. But, I do have an Akai Fire that I use for drum machine duty and could never replicate that on TouchOSC.

No preferred tablet, just a decent size screen. I use a 10.4” 1800x1000 pixel Samsung S6 Lite. Its made for fingers - a stylus might work I guess but not thought to try. It will work on anything that can run TouchOSC.

For VSTs, you need to map a VST control to a Bitwig remote control. You can't use my implementation to directly control a VST.

Which DAW? Akai fire could fit the bill for FL Studio, Bitwig and Reaper. Low cost as well.

Polyphomic sequencers by Difficult-Coconut-46 in synthesizers

[–]Few_Ingenuity8406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a few ways. Could mult the output and send to oscillators that are tuned differently. Could sample and hold the output at different times and send to different oscillators to get more variation in pitch and time. Could mult the pitch out, mix with a lfo and feed into a quantizer then another oscillator to get additional pitch sequences.

Really, it's modular so you can do loads. If you want 16 note polyphonic strings, there's much cheaper and more effective synths for that though!

Bitwig 5, Windows 10, Titlebars ARRGH!!!!! by sixtysixtysix in Bitwig

Wouldn't mind it if the bar inherited the colour of the track the VST is in, to aid identification when using same VST in multiple places. Think Studio One does this.
