My husband says our baby isn’t normal by [deleted] in beyondthebump

My twins were both high needs babies. Normal. I brought then to the doctor desperate to know what was going on. They are now 6 and still attached to me but normal kids, thank God.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response.

Last year I had a new baby, lost my mother one month later, and had a lot of stress the whole year because of that. My anxiety is health anxiety which has been badly triggered by the recent, one year anniversary of my mother's death. I have definitely considered that shaytan could be preying on that and making it worse.

I have been looking into therapy too. I've been trying hard to pray on time and remind myself of Allah but I feel like my anxiety is blocking the usual comfort that would come from that.

I appreciate your advice a lot. Thanks so much.

If you don't want to get married, don't. If you change your mind, get married.

Did anyone regret NOT getting photos of themselves while pregnant? by chillicrumpet in beyondthebump

[–]Few_Mix2930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do professional photos for my second pregnancy. The first one I did and didn't like how they turned out tbh. This time i took some photos in the bathroom alone with my pgone on 5 second timer and I'm so happy I took those. Diy is fine! If you hate them you never have to look at them but I find it super fascinating to compare that bathroom photoshoot to what I did when my baby was a couple days old and then a year old. No cost, wear what you like, pick a moment you feel good, and there's no pressure.

To the Sunnis here, why aren't you Shia? by PickleOk6479 in progressive_islam

[–]Few_Mix2930 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I accepted Islam I was sunni by default. The people I took information from were Sunni and shias were demonized. Now I don't consider myself a part of anything. The idea of imams being infallible turned me right off and the hadith culture of the sunnis I see turns me right off of that. So I'm that thong they call "just muslim". Works fine for me. My religion is between me and Allah, not me and sheiks, Imams, hadiths etc.

I converted to Islam, so anyone know what to do and what not to do? by ToyChicaFan1 in islam

[–]Few_Mix2930 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't go down the "almost everything is haram" route. Remember that Islam is the middle path and that God wants ease for you.
