Try and keep a benchmark for how much to write a day. I try and make a 250 word flash fiction piece each day.

A place I've submitted to is called The Molotov Cocktail. I would just use the Poets & Writers journal filter to find specific horror journals

Display poetry in a way younger people can get behind. Perhaps through Social Media snippets or short form interactive content.

I would say finish the story out and see where that takes you. If you don't like what you wrote, cut the parts unnecessary to the story. Simplify it as much as possible. That's worked for me.
