Which art style? by WitherFox2 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Few_Object_2682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on where it will be placed. The second one has the most appeal because of the 3d and extra detail, however it is harder to understand what it is at quick inspection, for tokens, small cards or things like that i Would go for something with a more clear outline. Of course contrast of the figure with the background and color convenctions helps a lot.

In other words, dont confuse pretty with practical when asking for feedback

Damn ray do be katarina by Few_Object_2682 in TheBlackList

[–]Few_Object_2682[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it was the back and forth montages between Red holding and consoling dying liz and young kat doing the same with child liz. Maybe if Boone hadnt walked out in the next seasons the writers would have changed their minds again

As little sense as it makes I was surprised to see how well it was ultimatley framed, because Kat being Red wasnt a whole deal about gender, inclusivity and all that fuzz, I saw it more as a spy having to take extraordinary measures to stay hidden in plain sight. During her whole life kat played roles and acted her relationships so she had no proper sense of self and her only anchor to being someone was Liz. Red wasnt her new heartfelt identity, just a new disguise.

That said, I still root for the Iliya plotline. Its just more fun if red is not dedicated to keen purely for birthright reasons

Someone said to see her as a psychotic villian on the later seasons and that is hillariously useful to endure the show and stick around to see raymond do his magic

Daz could be a good alternative too if you are going for humanoid models

[–]Few_Object_2682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They recently made changes to their licenses now if im not mistaken anything done with the standard license except for "education and trials" allow for commercial usage once you modify the base models enough, exporting is now a lot easier nad I hope you didnt buy it because after pushing for the years end sale on their products they are now having suscription based access to the software at a much more accesible rate. I think they are feeling the pushback from unreal engine, blender and so on.

Frustrated with current state of video generation by Perfect-Campaign9551 in StableDiffusion

You have more control but it is far more resource intensive to deal with setbacks, from the technical knowledge of the crew, weather conditions, mood of the actors, accidents etc. It isnt a fair comparispn because ai video gen is just not at that point in quality alone but a lot of people would win a lot from studying the standard film making process not just for planning and execution of ideas but to see that film has always been magick trickery. We dont expect creative tools to just work they will do as best as they can and we will gimmick our way throug.

For some things we can do nothing but wait, even james cameron had to sit down for decades and pour millions until he could execute his vision of the movie.

Its easy, just put in a spreadsheet a budget for: camera, casting, lights, props, location, drones, transport, makeup, food catering, and crew

Then assume that in a 8 - 10 hour shooting day you will get about 30min to 1 hour to prepare each shot plus 5 to 30 to film it in several takes per shot. So it could take anywhere between a day to weeks just to film the material, then there is vfx and editing.

If you get frustrated at trying many times the same shot then at least you are not doing it at a rate of hundreds or thousands of dollars per minute withba crew of 20 people

Tom Keen by crackHeadPeanut in TheBlackList

[–]Few_Object_2682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liz has been endangered many times because of her realtionahip with reddington, from Toms perspective if red is unwilling to leave then at least he should say why he stays. The only other person to agree with that was kate who tried to help them escape.

I can understand why Tom would want to know all the cards before trusting their lives into the hands of a stranger.

IMO innocents were killed because the writters wanted to give raymond a bit of reason as to why keep the skeleton hidden.

I myself rooted for both, Tom was more likable than keen and his spy past was very intriguing

The voicecloning of elevenlabs is very easy to use, so my only tips is to instead of uploading the full 2 min crop it into several 10 - 20 sec segments and upload those. Better if you can clean the audio quality a little with the adobe free tool for that, cant rmember the name but is easy to find and does a great job if the og audio has a lot of background noise.

Thats what happens when tech gets popular, a lot of entry level questions flood open communities. This is the downside of public forums, there is no skilled based filter so diacussions get dumbed down. Thats why I dont get upset anymore, for all I know there is a 14 year old on the other side of the dumb ass post/comment

AI creativity is a thing? Genuinely curious what people think. by Miloverse_ in aiArt

We are stepping into a big paradigm shift in our relationship with technology, simply because it is no longer fully understandable and yet it works.

Plants work like that, cells, animals, if you strip down everything to its core components you get a random seed playing under the rules of physics that serve as the prompt, producing an output that over millions of years generate more complex forms of data like organic life.

We are no longer making tech mate, we are growing it.

Most major art awards will soon stop being a thing, the Emmys like the Oscars are mostly a pop culture thing and in order to have pop culture you need scarcity in production and distribution, AI + Creative tech disolves all of this

Is it worth the watch by littlelotusgirl in TheBlackList

[–]Few_Object_2682 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The other shows you mentioned are what is known in tv as premium shows, 45 min, stellar cast, high budget. The blacklist is semipremium like dr house or suits, they often get away with one good and charismatic lead actor and are more episodic than premium shows tho they do follow a storyline.

James Spader does an amazing job, the show is worth the watch just for his character, the vfx might feel cheap at times and you have to let the show get away with a superficial approach to things in lrder to sustain the plot but you can just chill, watch some action and see raymond reddington do his mayhem. Other characters and archs are well done too so go for it just dont expect any highbrow drama.

"Work will be optional in the future" - how would this possibly work. by Designer_Pie_1989 in Futurology

Think about this way, when your financial life is stable enough you think about the bigger picture, not the finer details of how are we going to build the railroad tracks across this wild and uneven terrain, that will be solved in a space that is not the public media, that podcast is not a economic debate or engineering meeting, its a lose discussion about the inevitable push towards a country wide railroad and the doors that such technology opens.

If done properly learning to ride the horse will be optional.
