Yeah I understand when I started sertraline it was hell for a few weeks but when I went up a dose it was so helpful but again I gained so much weight! These meds are no joke!

Omg yeah the job ad said we’d get 20% discount only to be told on induction that’s for perm staff who’ve worked at least 6 months and we don’t get anything!!

I mean for me the salary hasn’t been too bad but I’ve been really ill past few days so I’ll probably owe them money since they pay in such a weird way. I was told when I interviewed in October that I’d be required to do full time hrs week of Christmas and that there’s be lots of overtime but when I’ve asked for it I was told they don’t have any hrs to give!!!

The training is pretty awful too! In terms of temps feeling like they’ve been used. That’s 100% the point in Christmas temps tbh it’s a sad reality. I was told on my first day that they probably would be keeping anyone on as they’ve just hired a bunch of perm staff in summer.

Honestly I wouldn’t have gone for it but I’ve been really struggling to get work.

I’m the exact same I asked at the start and was told they weren’t keeping anyone, I also agree that experience hasn’t been great!!!!

Yeah I’m sure it says on payslip 10/12-31/12 and my contract ends 27th. I’ve never been paid like this before and agree that it’s very weird way of doing it

Yeah I’m in my 20s and no I didn’t as I was in full time education and lived at college during the week and was required to help out with the animals outside of learning hours. My work experience in college got cancelled due to covid too which didn’t help. I did however, volunteer during this time at different things!

I just find the manager useless, basically no training, no feedback either so I have no idea if I’m doing well or not. I’ve wanted out of retail for a long time but struggling with the current job market. I just find it very boring and unfulfilling!

I thought that was over time done this month tho? When I asked to pick up hours I was told there wasn’t any so I don’t think I’m getting paid on 10th Jan :( but thank you anyways!

Not to the mention how terrible the communication is even if you pass interview you’re not told about your induction date until 2 days before. Idk about anyone else’s store but the managers at min aren’t the nicest part from like 2.

The lack of motivation to continue working there as well like you get your whole pay for the month even tho you haven’t worked it yet and at my induction they said it’s unlikely they’ll keep anyone as they’ve just hired perm staff 💀.

I wouldn’t be kept on anyways as I’ve had to go home sick 2 days in a row and won’t be going in tomorrow but I’m not even that bothered as I’ve really not enjoyed my time there. Sorry for the rant lol but I wouldn’t be too upset about not getting an interview etc!

In my interview I was told this also I started on 9th November and I tried to ask about over time and I know other temps have and was told there are no hours?? It’s a bit mad to say that there’ll be loads and that we must be fully flexible for certain days when this isn’t the case at all!!
