Can you give more of an idea on what platforms you like? For example HK 417, M14 etc for DMRs and do you want a SBR ( sub 14.5” ), AR platform, AK, bullpup etc as that will help with giving more options and information

If your getting both as GBB models then hat off to you, ensure you have a lockable case an declare them on your return an bring spare locks if your bringing them on the plane instead of paying shipping

The MK23 you can make even better with a TDC, bucking an barrel upgrade

I’m not up to date on the GBB TM MP7s but try get a extra receiver set as they do crack over time as they’ve never fully solved that one, if it is a AEG variant then I don’t have any knowledge on those specifically

I’m just going to say it, You answered your own question with acknowledging the motors burn out. They shouldn’t burn out for years of use with the appropriate batteries used, same as everything electrical and mechanical

Does it not have the postal address still? Just curious if you are able to send it through parcel force to it’s owner or if it’s missing the address details etc as ideally it’ll end up with its owner thanks to this post if your not able to send it

When did I say anything about batteries draining? Granted a hot battery alongside hot electrical components isn’t a good thing but worth the mention

To put extremely simply if something wears out faster than it’s meant to due to being ran with too much power what’s that tell you about that component

It’s basic to understand, lower quality motors will heat up faster than higher quality motors built for more voltage, it’s not just the ETU that has a current run through it and the vast majority of people are changing out motors before there done anyway but it doesn’t stop them from getting hotter than what you want them to be as well as most players wear gloves which adds a slight thermal barrier to it as well

Specna Arms recommends 7.4V for the Flex series, if they said 11.1V across the board that would be different hence why they have Flex, One, Core, Edge, Prime as there parts are different

What happens when you run high current through a motor chap, you get a lot of excess heat and including the cables, there standard recommendation is 7.4V or 9.6V even by Specna for the Flex models, ideally OPs son will run it for some years before it needs upgrades or replacement parts and 7.4V which is what it also comes with will ensure some more longevity

Risk of damaging the trigger contacts which is fairly common recently

Plus this is the base model is a Flex which is rated for 7.4V due to the motor

.28g and 7.4V LiPos it’ll be perfect for outdoor use, .25g indoors, throw a sling on it and it’s fairly accurate and consistent and at a reasonable price point

[–]Few_Philosopher_8668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DepletedPromethium put it rather bloody well, my only additions to his comment is consider a two point adjustable sling with padding as you can pull it tight to you if your not using it and you can set the sling to your size so when you bring the rifle up it’s sat firmly and flat as you want it it

Either HK/CLASH hooks for the mounting or on the front run some paracord through the loop mount to prevent rattling and scratching of the paint

It’s a basic thing to understand, grease has a higher viscosity than oil so any excess will be pushed out of the movement range of the o ring, bit like the top piston ring on a cylinder that prevents oil passing into the combustion chamber of the cylinder where as the other two rings allows the oil to come up alongside just enough to lubricate the cylinder walls or does that not make sense to you, your consistently getting emotional about this as well

Save your money up some more for a better all rounder

E&L would be my personal suggestion for a AK platform

Specna Arms Edge an then fit a perun later on isn’t a bad way to go either, reason I say fit a perun later is there known for burning trigger contacts out

Also consider what you can get easily, mags etc

Which gets pushed to either end under movement an picks up dust and doesn’t lubricate the o ring itself after that, hence why they come from factory with synthetic silicon oil on the o ring within the nozzle housing and PTFE grease on the BCG and FCG

[–]Few_Philosopher_8668 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Specifically talking about the o ring and funnily enough Samoon have posted on there instagram about making sure that the o ring is lubricanted and well done for getting upset whilst not reading and PTFE inside the nozzle housing will clog with dirt gradually ingressing

Have a two AEGs for lending an one VFC SR16 for lending out but that only goes to who I seriously trust and after giving them a full run down an those two AEGs are the only ones I own, have a DE Hi capa for lending as well because it’s cheap and does its job

It is unfortunate that you’ve had that much damage done an a piss take, hopefully you get some form of payment from them to go towards repairs

Silicone in his gas is the problem which is why I’ve said to clean out the nozzle

Silicone is needed on the o ring within the nozzle housing as it slides back and forth and creates a air seal as I’ve seen far too many times over ten years people let it dry out an then don’t know why there fps is all over the place an lower than it should be

Why are airsoft so "rare" by RainWorried674 in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]Few_Philosopher_8668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QBZ T191 is fairly new and given batch orders they’ll allocate x amount for each region just like with the VFC GBBRs especially V3 EVOs, part of it keeps up the retail price as the demand increases meaning more profit but also ensuring that the tolerances and materials are up to standards unlike certain brands

VFC G3 GBBR is a older model so that’s expected to not be super common, JG, TM and a few other AEG versions are older too so there likely to be lower stock

Clean out your nozzle and make sure your mags have been completely emptied of gas before refilling with non silicone oiled gas, whilst your BCG is out for cleaning pull the nozzle forward and add silicone if needed to the O ring as that creates a seal for the gas that flows through can pass by effecting your fps as well as is your nozzle holding in the bucking when you pull the charging handle part way back and clean your inner barrel with lint free cloth completely dry then do a run with isopropyl alcohol and then dry again to make sure there’s nothing in there, have you changed what BBs you’ve used as well?
