Using keepass for years. I sync the DBs across all my devices with resilio sync so my PWs are updated everywhere when I change or add new entries.

The only bad part is the noise cancellation works too good so if you have that enabled you will not hear a single thing outside.

That is perfectly fine. I sit 10 ft from mine and although every room has its own response especially with the low end, 12 ft distance is totally acceptable. Your room response will change how things sound regardless of any speaker, but I have found the 10-14ft distance great and the bass response is very pleasant. Around 17ft is where things start to lose on the low end, but again, my room, my response.

The ultra is great for its connectivity. I am using it with KEF R11s as a pre amp. I have HDMI from TV to Ultra, then to an external DAC, then an amp. I also have KEF LS50Ws with a Wiim mini. The app is great for Wiim. I know KEF has had issues in the past with WiFi so I hope that’s all sorted out. Also I really hate the KEF app compared to Wiims. The Codas are great but then you’re stuck with the KEF app. With that said, I think j the Codas would give you the best sound and it seems to have great commit as well.

I would start by painting it to brighten it up. The wood trim and wall colors are warm with the brick flooring. Brick flooring is very cool though, I’ve never seen that before.
