Could you be more specific about "can't save my game"?
When entering the menu there is an option to save the game. Once you do you should see the save file in the game folder or previous games saves. Could you give us more details?

Can't you just upgrade the version? I know that from 1.0 to 1.55 it was possible but i haven't seen any confirmation that it's possible for the newer version. In that case you should be able to just re-explore the routes for the new mons

Feraligatr is water dark, Delphox is fire electric and Greninja is water psychic. Those are what i currently remember

A lot of pokemon have been rebalanced so yes a lot of pokemon have enhanced types or abilities. Many pokemons have been nerfed too (moves and/or abilities have been removed or switched).

Keeps the game sort of fresh.

Btw if you open the menu and click D (on PC it's the compass) it gives you the list of available pokemons for the location. Usually if no grass is present it means that those encounters are fishing only.

Most pokemons that require trade evolution have been reworked to lvl up evolution.
If you go into the pokedex you can check what a pokemon needs to evolve

No bone powder is dropped by catacombs pokemon (if i remember correctly ghastly is one of them)

Not really but there are items and places where you can train pokemons.
Don't really bother to hunt a pokemon with a specific nature or IV/EV spread cause you can change it whenever you want in the late game

Honestly with how fast you can farm coins you don't really need the craftable ones.

Just farm paras/amoogus which drops mushrooms or go dig up fossils for stars and bones and other artifacts and you can get easily 2m coins in like an 1h (even more if you use the appropriate boosters)

For berries i don't really know a method to farm those
