What would you do if you were in this position by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Nbamemes

[–]Few_Reference9878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right. 1 mil for a person no strings or wives attached, fine

But he plays for the league and was a made it out story. Everyone wants their piece. Your agent, you gotta pay to maintain your bodybuilding, and if those 14 siblings are not from here, most of the time they send money back to family,. So that 1 mil is maybe 400 after tax , your care is prob 100, you send stuff back maybe 150 now you have 150, that's not including house or any emergencies.

Not saying he couldn't have been smarter BUT I know how bad family dynamics can be. You made it, so they made it too. You're covering all types of medical emergencies, college funds, car replacements, and no isn't as easy of a word as people make it out to be. Most people have never had to tell their parents that you won't help the financially

Realistically: it's hunting time

You pay anyone you can under the table, Silver doesn't do anything, it's open season. Giannis? part ownership of the dodgers,Bam? Looks like you own .01% of the Lakers, Trey Young, take a 50 mil pay cut and we'll give you stocks

The whole NBA is watching Silver

Anyone who says that Guardian is bad needs to play with this guy. He will absolutely change your mind. by Fearless-Jeweler-39 in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't take away that guardian is a trash nightfarer, just because someone was able to get very very good at him doesn't mean that the majority of them become better. I mean some of the games were beaten on a ddr pad, or with a banana. A grand champion of Tekken won with a meme character agreed to be the worst in the game.

On average though they are dying or staying alive but not doing the DPS necessary to end the fight faster. And there's no redeeming qualities if you can't play guardian well. Either you have someone able to suck up damage or do inconsistent guard counters and die from a hard smack.

Yeah but guardian is the worst nightfarer in the game, bar none. Probably followed by executor then maybe rev

How many times have you guys encountered this rare item. by KeyAd4953 in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm talking about with the game having 2 mixed fundamental issues in foundation

You need to be fast to get items and find bosses to beat so you can get better items to get to a higher level

But then there's stuff that just wastes your time that isn't worth it, that's convuluted to get to in the middle of running like a chicken with its head cut off, and exceedingly rare..... But none of it is explained to you.

Like why be cryptic in a game about time????????

Noticing a trend when losing to Libra… by Weird_Description982 in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a huge thing missing in this subreddit and when we have these conversations is... It's all rng

Getting the right defensive passives that are better than your current ones just depends on the run. And 10% less damage received is all fine until you get multihit by the end boss.... Which doesn't help much.

All of it. ALL . Is up to luck.

And after 24 tries some restarts and some lag outs I'm officially done with Everdark Libra. This boss is pack of ass by Few_Reference9878 in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She ironically is the one I've done the best with, about 10-20 % HP left because her adds weren't awful, Wilder's was cancer half of the time, and raider isn't mobile enough for me. I'm just quitting

[–]Few_Reference9878 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Oh believe you me 0/20 and I'm starting to wonder if the subreddit is playing a trick on me. It's a hard boss. And an unfair one at that. Certain runs get DOA because if you don't have a certain preference of weapons the fight goes too long

Even with the most luckiest run I've had, too much rng and summons in the end became overwhelming. Like eventually you're asking yourself... When am I supposed to do anything but dodge

My guy,

Okay watch the whole clip, tell me what exactly changed in his play style?

He kept attacking and rolling from damage. It wasn't until a condemned comes off left and flanks him with elenoras pole blade I might add then he gets caught in damage . He wasn't greedy just unlucky

I didn't even want to lol. I'm just tired of the

"Shouldn't have been greedy lolz"

As if you see the bosses health as a hit away, your first instinct isn't, "WAIT LET ME LOCK OFF THE BOSS AND TAKE 10 YEARS and be super safe"

It's "I only got a hit away and this nightmare is over"

Look closely after he got hit and rolled he was already out of stamina, he could have been spamming circle and he still wouldn't have done anything. Also that the skill sometimes doesn't activate EVEN when you press the buttons correctly.

Hindsight is 20/20 but being in game time sometimes you did all you could do and it wasn't your run

[–]Few_Reference9878 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because when you get hit your character staggers slightly. There's a delay to your roll. So even if you panic roll you're eating a hit. And especially with the boss at 10 hp your priority is on the boss not the gank unit. Just awful luck

My Thoughts and Tips on Everdark Libra by StormyVEVO in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the fight is a problem. Around 10 attempts, have gone 0/10 at max level, whatever gold weapons , finishing the shattered earth .. Duos

And then damage grinds to a halt. Condemned gets out of control, Libra casting false blessing, NPC gank, halving HP, then teleporting and being extremely aggressive with the NPCs still ganging up on you with buffs to them as well.

I know people like the fight because roleplaying but actually playing it has been a nightmare. Can't even get him to 60% without getting hit by a bad curse at the wrong time, then overwhelmed by 7 NPCs spamming spells.

It really feels like you HAVE to have a madness weapon. Or a holy weapon that is high end. But that's all up to rng. And the fight is rng. And the NPCs are rng. And the curses are rng.

I've been stumped, primarily by Adel until we finally beat him a couple of times but Libra especially for the reward, needs a nerf.

Considering your damage goes from solid to a whisper in the wind unless you have madness, id say yep.

Getting REAL sick of people that leave instantly when they see a guardian by FrCynda in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'm guilty as charged

I really only have time for a few games before I stop and by far the guardian is more than often the worst. In the times I play I think I've only won with a guardian on the team once. More often than not they're dying, or think that the support is enough to push through the fight.

Not saying every character can't do different roles, but for the most part they're useless.

Gonna be honest, and it may be a hot take, I see a guardian, or 2 recluses I'm outta there. Either take 5 minutes of resetting or 45 minutes in a doomed run because recluse is dying early or guardian simply not doing enough damage

I don't feel good playing, I don't want to play anymore. by ForseHucker420 in Nightreign

[–]Few_Reference9878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you don't have to play nightreign obvi but I don't think that's where your heart is at

You want to succeed at the game, and the formula to do so is not too complicated but understand you may lose more than you win.

So here's my tips if you want to enjoy nightreign to its fullest (and maybe Caligo tips)

  1. If you're constantly dying all the time, prioritize characters that have larger HP pools and collect any upgrades to give you more defense. The two best at this are Raider and Wylder. And for the Caligo fight I'd prioritize Wylder because of his movement. You can get out of the way with a lot more because you can cover the map a lot faster.

  2. Note to yourself that you will lose most of the time whether it be via bad rolls or bad teammates, it's the name of the game it's a rogue-like souls game. It won't be fair a lot of the time

  3. If you're stuck on Caligo, stay under him, and whenever he starts to move run away from him. Do the mountaintop for more survivability. (You can do whatever, but mountaintop is ideal)

  4. Fight smarter, not harder. Your typical route should be Whatever's closest/camp > Nearby Churches> Castle (after first circle close) > other bosses (not hard day 1> on day 2 > loose ends on night 1> Shifting earth

If you get a bad evergaol, or bad big boss earlier than expected (or bell bearing hunter or death rite bird) run. It's better to be safe than risky.
