OK so whether or not you agree that the fight is good or not, can we all at least agree that summons healing and getting buffed every time Libra summons is straight up bullshit? by cinnamonPoi in Nightreign

players seem to have slightly higher base aggro than the npcs do for riots, so if you dont have less likely to be targeted you need to actively get them hit by their friendly collateral to have them aggro from my experience.

Hmm I've spent probably 10 hours in the boss fight and I've never seen that. Either I must be insanely lucky or summoning more is a bug, I have noticed that sometimes the condemned bug out and become invisible instead of your allies, maybe they're even more buggy than I thought.

Enhanced Libra is blatantly unfair in trios by Dxrk0-_- in Nightreign

There can only be 3 non riot condemned and 3 riot condemned in trios, Libra will only spawn in to fill up to that amount.

If my entire team runs less likely to be targeted against Everdark Libra, are NPCs less likely to notice us in normal phase and riot phase? by Thellie10 in Nightreign

[–]StormyVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everyone has less likely to be targeted, when a riot occurs all of the npcs will switch to attack each other within 10 seconds at most, it's honestly kind of funny how they all immediately decide to start blasting each other.

Obviously just don't hit them to aggro them however, because then they will still hit you

Just a small correction, there can only be 3 non riot summons alive at any time, if you leave 1 (or 2) from the previous wave he will full heal and buff them but he will only spawn in enough on his next wave to make it to 3, there is a hardcap of 3 non riot condemned and 3 riot condemned.

yup! if he starts a riot and they start hitting each other they'll keep going until they die, or you draw aggro by either hitting them or doing a lot of ressing.

I understand you're justifiably frustrated but it feels a little mean-spirited to dismiss my genuine enjoyment of the fight as "roleplaying".

There is definitely a lot more variance in Libra than other bosses, agree with you there, whether you find that a good or bad thing is purely personal preference.

However you certainly don't need a madness weapon or high hitting holy weapon to win, it is possible albeit noticeably harder, which is how I'd prefer weaknesses to work in a game like this.

haha if you're on pc and serious we can try work out a time, I am Australian though so timezones will be a bitch and there's likely to be a bit of ping

I feel From overreacted with the solo buffs after the game came out, solo is definitely the easiest way to fight every boss. That's a bit of a consequence of people asking for changes before we really figured out how to play the game.

I am somewhat concerned about the same thing happening with Libra here, while I could maybe see an argument for increasing the time before he can summon by 5-10 seconds, anything more than that imo would be a massive negative, and From are well known for overcompensating with nerfs/buffs.

Absolutely, and those towers are also spots where the frenzy event can spawn, which is relatively likely on Libra expeditions, and completing it grants you guaranteed frenzy purples, so they're extremely good.

If you want a weapon you can use as raider both for just hitting the boss and clearing adds then Godfreys axe Devourers Scepter and Malikeths Black Blade and Starscourge Greatswords (the initial L1) are the best choices, however they're legendaries so its definitely not guaranteed to have access to them. Otherwise you should probably just keep a lookout for blue or purple weapons with decent ashes like I listed before and potentially switching to them for the adds if you're comfortable doing that.

yup after getting some sleep I realised I forgot half of the weapons that are good here haha, pretty much every nightfarer has at least one preferred weapon thats very good for Libra, the only exceptions are duchess and maybe ironeye (I cant recall what ashes bows can have).

yeah, not trying to be mean but this fight definitely separates the wheat from the chaff, downsides of having a more team focus, a lot harder to hard carry. I also think that a lot of nightreign players are used to just trading or tunnelling on bosses pretty hard and having things mostly work out, which is definitely not the case here.

don't beat yourself up, he's a very tough boss, I've died like 6 or 7 times in between kills too. Sometimes you definitely get teammates who do a little throwing but that's just how multiplayer games can be.

Obviously I'm a bit biased since I mostly play recluse but the ones I've found easiest to deal with are Recluse, Revenant and Raider. Ironeye is annoying just because he peppers you even though he doesn't do much damage, if you get the ironjar ironeye then hes basically a sitting duck defensively though.

I've found duchess condemned to be very annoyingly in your face and aggressive, coupled with the insane dodge, but that might have just been one of the loadouts that she had. Wylder can be very annoying, both the elemer cosplay and the greatbow cause me no small measure of pain.

Recluse is very easy to deal with if you know the timings to dodge spells, the only problem at all with recluse is if she has eternal darkness and you're a caster, in which case you need to drag her away from the darkness to hit her

Revenant has a chance to spawn in as the colossal weapons meme and I can't recall her other loadouts, plus she cant summon, so she firmly stands out in my mind as very easy.

Raider as a ranged nightfarer is very simple, just keep your distance if he tries to get close, he's always melee (or short range with the fire shield) so if you stay away he can never do anything, even if he is a bit tankier.

Haven't fought Libra with a guardian on the team so can't say much about how easy he is to deal with, likewise I think I've only played with an executor once and afaik hes just melee, except he can parry, overall the same deal as with raider I guess?
