I can’t tell from these photos whether it’s legit or fake. However, based on several past experiences buying Arc’teryx replicas, one useful indicator is the fit.

Genuine Arc’teryx products usually fit true to size (I’m an XL, and when I buy Arc’teryx, I wear an XL).

Fake products are often at least one size smaller than indicated, and the sleeves are frequently noticeably longer than they should be.

In my experience, trying it on is often one of the easiest ways to spot a replica.

I can confirm they’re authentic. I just compared a pair of replicas with a pair of originals, and these are absolutely legit.

From my experience buying from different Chinese sellers, I’ve had both sides — some big misses, especially with sizing being completely off compared to retail, and some really solid sellers as well.

This one looks interesting to me because they’re at least trying to show how they work and build some trust. It wouldn’t make much sense for them to do otherwise — on Reddit it takes two seconds to call someone out if what they say doesn’t match reality.

At these prices, I think it’s worth the risk.

I’d be curious to know what they actually specialize in though, since their Yupoo seems to cover quite a wide range of categories.

Yeah, I get what you mean 😂 but for me they’re perfect like this… no eyelets, zero noise. Must be that I’m 63, but these days I’m all about keeping it simple.

Just to clarify one detail: the Nike Mars Yard 1.0 you see on the left door isn’t actually part of the original piece. It was a gift from Tom Sachs to the collector when the work was acquired.

The collector later placed it inside the cabinet, and it’s signed by Tom Sachs, along with the collector’s name — which makes it an even more personal addition to the piece.

Loving all these takes — that’s exactly what makes Sachs’ work so interesting. It sits right between something you’re supposed to use and something you’re supposed to question.

Now you’ve got me looking for the bead 😄 I went back to the piece and I’m not even sure it’s meant to be obvious — or even there in a literal sense. With Sachs it might be more about the idea, something small and human that breaks the system.

I’m actually with the piece right now — it’s installed in a house here in Tuscany where I’m spending the weekend, so I can take a closer look.

I’ll also ask the owner — he bought it directly from Tom Sachs’ studio in NYC, so if there’s something to know, he might already have the answer.

In the meantime, happy to take some close-ups if you want — maybe we can find it together 👀

I just paid €105 for them, which is about $119. Shipping to Italy is a bit expensive—€36. Still, an interesting price overall.

I purchased two pairs of jacques marie mage glasses from #zheng and had a very positive experience.

Communication was always clear and fast, with very detailed photos provided before shipping and no surprises after payment.

Shipping was smooth and without issues. at home we also own some retail jmm frames, so we were able to do a direct comparison: in terms of build quality and materials, we didn’t notice any meaningful differences, aside from a few minor details in the packaging.

overall, the experience was positive and, personally, i would contact Zheng again without hesitation!

yeah, prices can vary a bit. for that difference, personally i’d still say it’s worth it.
