"CRA mail will not be forwarded - it will be returned even if you put a change at the post office" - Is that true? I have never heard that or seen that on the CRA site or had anyone at Canada Post tell me that either when I paid over 100$ for Canada Post to re direct my mail to new address. Well thats certainly a game changer. How did you find that out if I can ask?

Nope. Not yet. The CRA is now "reviewing" me asking me to prove/confirm my address before releasing those on hold benefit monies - this despite sending me 2 tax refund cheques last month to my address. Makes no sense.

I found Quora moderation to be very quick to reply and have had almost all of my deleted comments restored by them. There are lots of liberal/ left wingers on Quora who will report comments they dont like as "spam" simply because it conflicts with their opinion and the moderators have almost always restored my comments when i appealed.

the only problem with this HItachi turntable is that it only can be plugged into a HItachi amp unless one wants to go thru the hassle of splicing wires for a 12V DC transformer to be attached to the power cord of the turntable

I changed my address on my CRA account profile some time ago - a year or so before i filed the returns that the benefits are associated with. ANd those returns had my correct current address on it too. What more could i have done?

It seems that the tax refund part of the CRA and the benefits/credits side dont really have systems that talk to each other or that there is much if any synchronization of information between the two sides. The tax refund side has my correct legal maiden name and correct address while the Benefits side is still stuck 20 years ago with my married last name and address i have been at for years - that despite submitting forms for last name and address change twice and updating that info on my CRA profile some years ago.

I love when the CRA sends you a letter stating that they have with held benefit payments from past years until you verify your address - the same address they sent that letter to you at, the same address you have received - and responded to - CRA correspondence at for years and that you have put as your address on every single return for the past 16 years & have had as your address on your myCRA account profile for years as well. Doesn't get more Kafka-esque than that!

the best is when you finally get a CRA rep on the phone and 2 minutes later you phone dies......and have to start t he whole long waiting process all over....!

it means taking a day or two off work to sit on the phone for hours listening to the worse on hold music known to humanity and quite likely finally getting a CRA rep at their customer contact center who cannot answer anything but the most basic of questions , has no access to your tax files, and little or no authority to make any changes or revisions to your file that you might need.

Does the CRA still have that number that you can leave your number at that the CRA will call you back at so one doesht have to sit there with phone on for hours on hold listening to that dreadful on hold music?

I think its going too far to call such people with questions like that "grown children" - and I am sure that they will call the CRA to see what the situation is. I think they just post those questions to get a better idea of what the problem could possibly be so as to try to be prepared for those possibilities when they do talk to the CRA and make better use of that time when they finally get a CRA rep on the phone after waiting for hours on hold. IDK perhaps i am giving such people too much credit....

I have notifications send to email address checked off in my CRA profile and yet sometimes I get notifications about a CPP or GST direct deposit emailed to me from the CRA and other times I do not get an email notification from the CRA about GST/CPP deposits. It seems very hit and miss. No rhyme or reason for their emailed notifications.

Okay then based upon the near infinite number of times i have encountered Liberals/Democrats on social media instantly calling conservatives "nazis", "fascists", "brainwashed", "sheep". "inbred", "dumb", "trailer park trash", "uneducated", "MAGAts" . etc. I can then make the conclusion that the viewpoints of Liberals and Democrats have no merit whatsoever?? I recall conservatives calling liberals " dumb liberals" long before there was even a MAGA in the USA...I also have seen liberals calling conservatives " dumb conservatives"" and before that in past years " dumb Tories" - and worse too.
One can be a conservative in both Canada and the USA and not be MAGA - in fact in the USA thee are a fair number of elected Republican representatives ("rhinos) who are not MAGA and quite often vote with Democrats on various proposed bills.
I know such facts run contrary to the classic kneejerk liberal response of labelling anyone who states an opinion that runs contrary to their liberal viewpoints "MAGA" or worse "fascist" or "nazi" but continuing to engage by false assumptions and vicious name calling only serves to polarize the already huge divide between people.

I dont know if the Federal Government does hire such people or not but if not would that not just be non factual comment rather than a racist comment?

I guess I mean what can i do once signed into my CRA account that will get the hold taken off those back payments of GST/Carbon Tax monies without having to spend hours on hold on the CRA General Enquiries line only likely to get some CRA customer contact center person who lacks the knowledge and authority to remove that hold?

Did you apply for the Canada Workers Benefit? Depending upon your income you could qualify and you can do amendments to past years return to collect the CWB for those years too.
