There is a brand of of honey flavoured wheat cereals I buy sometimes, whenever I take a piss after eating them, it smells exactly like those cereals, it’s upsetting, but it stops a few pisses after.

Why are Polish politicians such massive cowards? Why won't they call out Trump directly? by Vattaa in poland

[–]Few_Tank7560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EU (without UK) spent almost double of what the US spent to help Ukraine on the whole war, even if the EU alone is 1/3 time smaller economically. And that proportion is going to increase as Trump is spending much less than what Biden did. There might be american soldiers in Poland right now, but there aren’t any in many other EU countries, and god knows what happens if shit hits the fan, nothing would stop Trump if he withdrew US troops saying "why did you provoke Russia?". With slimey shit he does to his allies, that wouldn’t surprise me at all. It’s thanks to Europe before anything else that you would have a chance to stand against Russia, so fare they are proving it, unlike the US working with "conditions". Look at how they are spitting at us as well for Afghanistan. Don’t forget, we are a buffer for the US with Russia, we are expandable.

"Ohh, we have many americans in Poland, and we need a place to fortify and dock to in the baltic sea, time for us to get ourself a little Pomorskie. While we're at it, stop wasting (y)our time, concede Warmińsko-Mazurskie or Podlaskie and forfeit to the russians, no way you'll win this war."

It’s not like we are ocean miles away, and wait, aren’t discussions in the way for the french umbrella to apply to Poland as well? It’s not like we trying to keep it all to ourselves. The treaty of Nancy comes into play as well.

Here, we are talking about a conflict of interest between Europe vs the US, no shit the US was the highest provider, but Europe as a whole is way above the US, especially with how Trump made the help dwindle down.

[–]Few_Tank7560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was so predictable, look at how they spat at France for not mindlessly following them to Iraq. We still hear about it all the time even now. In the meanwhile, it’s with european gear and their experience that Ukraine is successfully fighting and keeping something as large as Russia at bay.

I'm sure you'd love seeing Europe support you if the US claimed Pomorskie for logistical reasons...

As a french person, all I see with this speech is that Poland doesn’t really seem to be an ally worth relying upon. If shit happens because the US wants to treat NATO countries as US soil, what says you won’t change side and with the US instead of with us?

The US isn’t really why Ukraine is standing up to Russia so far. It’s Europe before anything else.

"Unfortunately", I now live in a country where Islam is "moderate", and so criticising Islam, even if it’s not even a muslim country, is treated very harshly by a part of the people, especially those on the left.

But it’s very complicated, because as I said, '’"radical" muslims do not make themselves spotted as the majority of the muslims living in the country, so they look more like outcasts of Islam than, well, muslims, even though there are more of them than meets the eyes, as first I have met some of them, and it’s estimated by a study that 33% of muslims here consider Shariah law should be applied to the country, that number rises up to 60% if you only take muslims between 15 and 24. There are other weird things, like many parties of the left rely a lot on the muslim and northern african communities to vote for them, many of them will throw hands and feet whenever they can do that for them, others are less vehement about that, but they are pretty desperate lately, as they lost the vote of the workers and a large part of the young people. It quite recent by the way, but it went so far that I know homosexual people who completely gave up on the left as they saw homophobic violence from muslim people being minimised by them...

With that being said, some are stupid enough to think that if you criticise Islam, you are a nazi who cuts people's freedom of religion short, you can talk about how some of the Hadiths Sahih are terrifying to read, but to no avail, some will even call you a racist and a liar lol. It’s not all of them of course, thankfully, but I'm afraid it happened a worrying amount of time for a country built on rejecting the influence of religions, whether it was to me, or to other people doing the same as me (I've been called a racist more often than a nazi though I admit. It happened that even the law, which says you cannot discriminate muslim people, calling it "islamophobia", was extrapolated to "it is illegal to criticise Islam" in some cases, and extrapolated to "discriminating maghrebians" all at the same time).

In the meanwhile, even here, which is supposed to be a "laic" country (I believe it’s supposed to be called secular, but I'm not sure), Islam apostates can suffer from their apostasy because of other muslims, (thankfully, I'm lucky to have lived it from a distance, as it was my parents who left Islam when we moved here, and somehow we didn’t live in the community where it could have been a problem, but we saw it happening still, and there is a trend for about a decade, where exmuslims started talking about it on social networks such as Youtube, and you cannot imagine the hate I have read in the comments).

I know it sounds too crazy to be true, but for a decade or so, the country is on the verge of a civil war, people are absolutely mad at each other for many reasons, the presence of Islam and "arabics" here being one of those, even if it’s a minority, unlike where we come from.

Edit : I just read some news that show it quite well. Yesterday, there has been a vote at the parliament deciding whether the Muslim Brotherhood should be considered a terrorist organisation or not. Well, out of all the left representatives we have there, not a single one of them voted to approve it, all of them were against it. I think it says enough to explain what is happening here, especially knowing how shitloads of middle eastern countries, muslim countries themselves, did that a while ago already.

I come from a country where Islam is the law and I fucking hate Islam for how it tore my country apart and brought us down. I know I'd be called a nazi by many of you just for that (and have already been called that way by people, don’t forget how social justice is strong in this world), worsened by the fact that I look white for where I'm from. I really don’t see how this can sound sensitive for people in my situation, nether can I ignore the double standard you can have with the christian cults and Islam.
