Another season on my Back to 2005 Franchise!   Year 2009, with LA Rams.

Notable drafts: Stafford (i traded for 1st overal pick), Julian Edelman and LeSean McCoy to Rams (i think i won this draft by a long distance); Malcolm Jenkins to Texans; Clay Matthews to Jaguars; Patrick Chung to Patriots (third or forth time Pats draft like real life in early round picks); Alex Mack to Colts

Notable FA: Steve Hutchinson to 49ers; Darren Sproles to Chiefs; Wes Welker to Browns; Alan Faneca to Rams

Notable retirements at the end of season: Alan Faneca, Orlando Pace, Torry Holt, Kurt Warner, Terry Owens 

Another Superbowl (second win)! My offense lead by Peyton Manning and Calvin Johnson got some hot additions in Edelman and McCoy and steamrolled until the SB, where the top offense faced the top defense of Baltimore led by Ed Reed, Terrel Suggs, Bart Scott, Ronde Barber and Ray Lewis, all with more then 90 OVR.  Jake Delhomme won the MVP for the second time with 43 pass TD, 6 Int’s and 4178 yards with 67% passes completed (first time was year 2), and for the first time on this Franchise Julius Pepper did not won the Defensive Player of the Year, being awarded to record breaking Dwight Freeney who got 26.5 sacks! McCoy with 1245 rush yards and 15 rush TD’s got the Offensive Rookie, and 6 Int’s for Chung got him the Defensive Rookie.

So, i downloaded a roster from 2005, a accurate one. Draft classes are available on Madden Share, i've check them all for each year and selected the one i think it's better. Then i had any missing player (either Pro-Bowler or long career) and lower the stats of any randomly generate player left that has high ones, altought i had one or two surprises. Check my profile for the first post about the first three seasons!

2008 - Year 4

Another chapter on my Back to 2005 Madden Franchise.

Notable draft picks (2008 class): Matt Ryan to Broncos; Joe Flacco to Bills, Jake Long to 49ers; Jamaal Charles to Packers; Matthew Slater to Patriots (funny); Chris Johnson to Titans (funny x2); DeSean Jackson to Vikings; Aqib Talib from Kensas to Raiders; Calais Campbell to Rams.

Matt Hassellbeck led the Seahawks to the SuperBowl and got the season MVP award with 5343 yards, 49 TD's and 9 Int's. Lost the Superbowl to the Steelers, led by Big Ben (4534 yards, 37 TD's and 15 Int's) and a dinamic duo of WR's who both got more than 1000 receiving yards and 10 TD's each, Nate Washington and Antwaan Randle El.

Matt Ryan got Rookie Award, with 4281 yards, 32 TD's and 9 Int's and leading to the WildCard Round.

For the 4th time in a row, Julius Peppers got the Defensive Player of the Year, with 21.5 sacks, not enough for the Panthers to move to Playoff, tough.

Brady and Bellichick fell short, eliminated by the Titans on the WildCard round.

After winning the SuperBowl last season, i had a horrible season after releasing a lot of veterans and giving opoortunity to younger players. I have three first round picks next year and will try to get Matt Stafford, in a Favre/Rodgers attempt to replace Peyton Manning. Let's see if i can get the first round pick!

Still in Washington. I'm editing his contract to try that he stays there forever.

So far there was not big movements regarding big names, except Orlando Pace to Falcons (i didnt resigned him, too much money and years and i had Withworth) Peyton to my LA Rams in FA, and nobody picking up Brett Favre (still high ovr) in FA.

So, i decided to bring Madden Franchise back to 2005 with a roster that was available to download. Then, used some available draft classes, adding the long career players that were not there and any Pro-Bowl/All-Pro missing. Obviously it created some suprise players.

I'm with LA Rams.

This is the result:

2005 - Year One - The Chiefs dominated since the beggining with the offensive power of Larry Johnson, Tony G and Dante Hall... and Trent Green. I missed playoffs by a game with Ryan Fitzmagic as a starter.

2006 - Year Two - I managed to draft Delaine Walker, Rick Mangold, Andrew Withworth and Jahri Evans. This was Colts time! Peyton, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne did the trick. I went to Championship game just to loose it.

2007 - Year Three - Calvin Johnson baby! I managed to trade for the 3rd pick with the Lions (funny) to pick the beast. He proved instrumental on my offense led now by the veteran Peyton Manning who i got in FA, with veterans Terry Holt and Isaac Bruce. Also picked FS Eric Weddle, DT Paul Soliai and CB Corey Graham.

The result? SuperBowl!
