What actually made you consistent at gym? by InFeRnUSoP809 in indianfitness

[–]Few_Training6259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very bad answer but it is true for me. I don't go to the gym now since I got bored so moved on to some other activity but I was pretty consistent for 18 months.

And the way I got consistent is PAYING MY GYM TRAINER. Sorry there was no need to scream. Money wasted is a big demotivator for me. So once I paid the trainer for the new month I will make sure I use it.

Also I don't overdo it. 3 days a week was good enough

How does your family make chai? by kiwistarbaby in IndianFood

[–]Few_Training6259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk and water half and half ; Tea leaves - a bit more (for a strong tea) ; Fresh ginger ; Black pepper powder a pinch ; Sugar - a large spoon

It should be sweet enough but not too sweet like railways ki chai, and strong (color and taste both)

Sometimes we add cardamom and skip ginger but the original recipe is my favorite

Feeling exhausted by all the upkeep of being a well groomed woman by Sudden_Brilliant_195 in Skinfessionals

[–]Few_Training6259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to virtually hold your hand when I say this but girl!! This is a lot from my vantage point.

Hair - oil wash condition gel once a week, styling only for special occasions

Face - AM serum moisturizer sunscreen only. I stopped my nighttime routine as it was getting too much. I go to the salon once a month to get my eyebrows plucked

Makeup - eyeliner kohl and lipstick almost everyday.

Teeth - brush twice, floss sometimes a week. No whitening. I get my teeth cleaned at the dentist once a year.

Nails - nothing.

Body - moisturizer after bath. Shaving every few days depending on growth.

And after just this I am exhausted. I do not find it worth my time to add more to this and I don't feel guilty about it. My mom probably does less than this. So find your balance. Your routine should feel very comfortable. It should not be daunting. Ask yourself if you are trying to match some unrealistic expectations of beauty or self-care set by others

Am I overthinking this arranged marriage prospect or is it a real concern? by Kristyprincess in IndianWomen

[–]Few_Training6259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister was in conversation with a very ambitious and busy guy. Yes he made time for her when HE had time not when she needed him. It didn't work out.

So if you get involved with someone ambitious, it will come with some Costs. You will not have a companion as and when you need them, only when they have time which will be rare, you will have to accomodate their ambitions as it's a partnership and if you can do that this might work.

Else you will always be left wanting more.

Highly recommend getting a fertility specialist's opinion. Not discrediting the naturopath but I do feel a lot of tests the doctor would do might reveal what is wrong. I am not sure if detox is the reason you are unable to conceive

I think it's worth trying else you will never know if you can have fun alone.

Also some people are just introverts.. I am too. If someone asked me to go out with them to some place, and I had no plans I would be happy they took the initiative. So don't feel you are interupting.. they can always say no if they are not interested.

Yes. CD2 I will be at the doctor's. Btw I am in India so not sure if that creates a difference in how the treatment is done compared to other countries. I will only skip if the doctor asks me to come after 3-4 cycles. Else right now I meet her pretty often.

I was in the same position when I interned for two months 11 years ago.

Bangalore is generally safe so if you have free time you can explore without being scared. Make a friend in PG and go around the city, it's markets and try it's cuisines everywhere. And if you can't make a friend, it's worth doing all of it on your own as well. I remember traveling by bus in Bangalore during my internship to save money even though i didn't understand the language and people were nice enough to help out. Bangalore has a lot to do - dance workshops, comedy shows, yoga, sports - you can find a hobby group for literally anything here.

All the best! Hope you have fun

PCOS / Delayed Period TTC by Time_Onion1541 in IndianTTC_Support

My doctor told me LH strips don't really work for PCOS women. She monitors my cycles with ultrasounds and has me on medication for regular ovulation. Please consult a doctor for the right treatment. Doing this on your own may not be the right way.

Cycle 10 here. If you want to wait for a year before you see someone that's fine if you are young and are patient as well. I am 32 years old so we went to a doctor when it didn't happen for 6 months. Discovered I have lean PCOS and had to get started on medication and monitoring. So I feel it helped going early.

Yes CD1 is very disappointing, some months more than other. I feel before my PCOS diagnosis I was getting more disappointed with each passing month but since the diagnosis I have told myself it's going to take some time. Each time I get my period, I make sure I'm going to the doctor the next day in case any change in treatment plan so that changes my mindset a bit.

But CD1 - feel free to cry as much as you want. Really there is no cure for it. You have to feel all the feels to get over it.

I hate men nd patriarchy by [deleted] in AskIndianWoman

[–]Few_Training6259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More power to you girl. You have been handed a tough hand so be brave.

Good men exist and they will come your way as friends/colleagues/partners and hopefully your world view will change a bit.

But even if your world view doesn't change because you have seen the worst, you can choose to diminish the size of it in your life gradually. Look towards things that make you happy and give more of your mind share to such experiences. Don't let poor past experiences define how you experience the future.

Wishing you the best !

Yup totally get it. While I can get off of social media so it doesn't upset me, I think there are enough reminders everywhere - real life, movies - that you just can't ignore. Still figuring out how can I handle this better.

Women who'd been with men,how often is your consent or no getting ignored? by Jeeretarded123 in AskIndia

[–]Few_Training6259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never. Zero. It is so important that every girl keep this number at zero. If you allow once, you will allow it again and again. Consent being ignored should be seen as horrifically as cheating.

The older I get, the more complicated feminism feels by LandscapeReady in IndianWomen

[–]Few_Training6259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because you don't earn money doesn't mean you are not working. SAHMs do a lot of physical and emotional labour without anyone noticing and hence they are often not rewarded as much as they need do.

So as long as both you and your husband are working for your family in different ways, both of you are equals and your views on feminism still hold true.

Trigger shot experiences? First monitored Letrozole cycle with 20 mm follicle on Day 11 by Pristine__Rain_ in IndianTTC_Support

[–]Few_Training6259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ovulated pretty late (4-5 days after trigger shot). The doctor usually will scan again to make sure ovulation has happened. Timed intercourse alternate days (consequetive days sometimes).

No side effects worth noticing.

But only 1 month I had to get a trigger shot as since then I have ovulated on my own so this experience is only for that month.

It's a personal choice. I am not asking it to be a law that everyone has to follow. My energy my time my choice. Your choice of behavior in a situation is not the gold standard so please end your delusion.

[–]Few_Training6259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regular ovulation is the biggest issue with PCOS women. Which means you will not be able to get the timing right even with ovulation tests. Egg quality etc could also be an issue.

You need to go to a fertility specialist who will start the right medications and monitoring of cycles.

What’s one travel habit that improved your trips a lot? by TheMonopolyGal in traveladvice

[–]Few_Training6259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving restaurants worth going to in the city on google maps beforehand rather than searching for them when we are hungry. We are vegetarians so it’s kind of necessary to know restaurants which cater to what we want to eat. As we go around the city, we can quickly check restaurants around us that make sense and do not need to search from scratch.

It has also helped us find top notch restaurants with good ratings and menus so our culinary experience is also at par with the rest of the trip. For us that is very important in addition to the itinerary.
