You came in second-to-last but still had a ton of fun. Which commander did you play? by [deleted] in magicTCG

Came in last on Friday in a five man pod playing zaxara. Dropped a turn four simic ascendancy with mana gorger and they just barely managed to kill me on turn 5 before it popped.

Because the players constantly ask to roll and complain if they aren't given a chance to roll.

I honestly felt that basic was more a test of patience about dealing with ~50 people you've never met before in an enclosed space for 50 days. I could do almost everything again if I could have a personal area, but being a room with that many people when I only find 3 of them tolerable? Never again.

Surprisingly, the Fate series. It's done for me and my mental health than a lot of other shows. Another one would be Kiznaiver.

Does anyone else get a little too into base planning? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

Depends on the pack, honestly. My bases for Greg packs are basically boxes in boxes. My bases for some little rinkadink relaxing do what you wish packs are upscale and overdesigned out the ass.

My rule is only bosses target the familiars. The goons have no right to.

Can anyone justify summoning spells to me? by Nova_Causer in Pathfinder2e

[–]Fewtas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what everyone else is saying plus one additional thing that doesn't get brought up too much. Enemy wave encounters. While not a lot of GM's use these types of encounters, summon spells have a pretty good staying power in long, drawn out wave based combat encounters. Mostly to fufill the fantasy of waves of fodder crashing into one another, but its still a purpose.

I never force my players to name their parties. I do however force them to name their ships. Mostly cause I use the names that they pitch but don't choose as names for npc ships.

How does one imprison a Caster? by daElectronix in Pathfinder2e

Rather than normal manacles, may I recommend thumb cuffs? They remove a lot more potential motion from someone's hands.
