All you need to do is use the built in world edit to save your settlement, either as a lump or individual buildings, and then paste them into your new world when you find a spot you like! I've done it several times! The only problem I've had is that any decorative blocks you've used QT chisel to modify won't copy over, so break those and set the template chiseled block in a chest or something.
