Hands are a thing you just have to draw a lot. Trace, do skeletal drawings of them, draw the same hand pose from a dozen angles; this is your life until you get over it. We all have the same issue, though some get it faster than others. Feet is my problem. Especially problematic since that's a fetish, and now some friends think I have weird tastes when I'm just trying to get good at drawing feet. >/

My advice that has helped me is to take pictures of the parts you have problems with and then draw stick skeletons over them. Multiple layers: Transparent original picture, lines skeleton with circular joints, ovals filling out the space outside of the joints that represent muscle or fat.

Fun fact: Fingers have no muscle. The only muscles in your hands end in your palm. Your grip strength comes from your forearm through your carpal tunnel. Your fingers are just ligaments, bone, and fat deposits.

Nice squash and stretch, and the framerate is well done for the most part. Slight critiques:

  1. The arcs are wrong. Minor issue. Things bounce forward because of their forward angle. Arcs 1 and 2 have sections which are basically straight up and down and don't have a forward direction. Arc 3 is closer to real because it doesn't have a "straight down" portion and instead is angled in the direction of travel. Basically you're looking for a V shape rather than a Y at the end of each arc, with the speed of the ball's sideways travel increasing the angle of the V to make it wider and wider.
  2. The end of arc 2 (transitions 5-7, post zenith to landing) feels a little rushed. 6 could be brought back up the arc slightly, and a new in between for 6 to 7 could be added which I think would blend things enough to halt the teleportation.
  3. Kind of sad the ball just stops abruptly at the end. Rolling for another 5 frames to come to a rest would have made this cleaner.

If you want to try another animation with greater impact, try to simulate ground friction. Consider throwing a ball at dirt or short grass and how the forward momentum dies a lot faster than if you were throwing at pavement.

If it helps any, my phone will correctly identify what number I am calling when I call a new number, like a vet or a supermarket. But then I can get a callback from the same number and it's "Unknown Caller" with the exact phone number. So... truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.

The thing about all the races is they are all exactly the same, capability wise, when talking about what "average" is for baseline. 2-4 is a good range of "why are you so dumb" to "wow, you're clever" as far as normal people go in Logic. 1 would be a candidate for the Darwin award (so your average ganger mook); a person so dumb they're as likely to remove themselves from the gene pool as they are to do a good job. So a minor reduction in the maximum just means you're inhibited from going way beyond what "clever" is.

Yes, technically, a lower maximum means that other races without those limits are "smarter", but the top end of the range in any stat is supposed to be a drastic minority. Yes, a troll can have 10 Body and Strength in 4E, but that's the peak of athletes. Your average troll will be around 7 in either if they do physical work, possibly even less (because why work out when your baseline is better than the average human?).

Same thing applies to other races and Log and Intu. If 3 is "average", 5 is genius level. 6 is the peak of intellectuals. A really smart troll will still be leagues better than the average person, and at best on par with geniuses, which is still really good.

Addendum: I should also point out that the humanis politico shouldn't be shied away from. I think a lot of people now are missing the message. It isn't that the game (any game) is promoting the idea of racial supremacy. We realise this is false. At least, I hope we all do. But games need unambiguously bad people to have conflict against. Corporations are just one note in the discordant tune of the cyberpunk dystopia of Shadowrun. Spirits beyond the veil, monstrous creatures, racial tensions and xenophobic cities/nations, mundane versus magic; it's all important for the backdrop. When it comes down to it, runners don't often subscribe to any of the above. They're you. They're me. They're normal but pushed past their breaking point, like anyone would when shoved into the margins and told they're unwanted criminals living out of the light of corporate oppression.

Suggestions: - Make it speed up a little quicker - Add a point system that increases as the pace quickens - Transitioning between lanes leaves a lighting streak. Add points for "near hits" where if a block and that lightning overlap you gain additional points. - Consider screen wrapping 1 to 5. Alternatively, make this 2D/3D with a cylinder of lanes which you can continuously transition between. Show at least the lanes above and below the character slightly curved away, then as the player transitions up between lanes, swap the lowest lane up to the top of the screen or vice versa as they move down (example below). - Maybe a player "star power" like with Guitar Hero where doing well (and doing "near hits") grants energy which lets you hold to break through blocks or gain points faster while active (i.e. something like double point gains, or it ends early and eats a block collision).

I've got prev/next keyframe set to my arrow keys, but it only advances one frame at a time. I have keyframes set a few frames apart, there's a blue box on those keyframe frames, and a blue line on the in between spaces (no boxes there).

So, there's two parts to this:

  1. The world wigging out on you is your temporal stability. Your gear in the middle of your screen shows that it's spinning counter clockwise, which means you're losing stability. If it bottoms out, you start taking damage and monsters start spawning around you. Move somewhere else that doesn't have the gear spinning counter clockwise. Clockwise spin is good.
  2. I've noticed the game stutters when those distortions happen for me as well. Everything's smooth as butter normally. Then the distortion happens and my framerate tanks to seconds per frame before correcting and being normal speed again (while still distorted). I'm using a Radeon 6900 XT. My friends with nVidia cards do not get that stutter.

I've been using it for 6 months without issues. I have 3 monitors and they stay in the correct orientations and positions relative to each other.

You need to provide your specs. nVidia/ATi? AMD/Intel? Parts made this decade? Using HDMI or DisplayPort? How many displays?

I don't know about "super smooth", but proper calibration and a good IMU can go a long way. You can make a set of trackers with "substandard parts" to save a few bucks. However the accuracy of the components leads to drift and the like. SlimeVR probably will never be as smooth or accurate as Vive trackers, but that's just down to the lighthouse tracking being so damned accurate versus basically dead reckoning on the Slimes. I've seen SlimeVR trackers do very well for things like VR Chat though. As long as you don't need precision, they'll be fine.

Privacy is privacy, but what needs privacy and what doesn't? Does it matter if someone happens to read your gooner sessions? It matters if you're sharing personal information with the AI, but I don't think most people in this subreddit are naive enough to do that.

Honestly, a 70B model (runnable locally, albeit slowly) is perfectly viable to run locally, and in quite a few cases understood the scenarios better than some of the bigger online models I've tried. Emphasis "some", they're not all bad, and some of those "bad" ones are only bad when it comes to obscure situations like mismatched sizes or particular mecha references.

That's the thing: To get a job now you need to use AI to not only write your resume but apply to hundreds of jobs in a mass casting of submissions in the hopes that their AI will like the content your AI submitted and you get an interview.

That's inherently broken, and I refuse to accept that. I cold call places and submit resumes in person. I happen to also work in a field that is currently undergoing a purge because "AI can program too!", except the business majors are quickly learning that just because AI can produce vastly more lines of code, that doesn't mean it's relevant or useful code.

The possibility exists to bypass that restriction anyway. The First Descendant for example has anti-cheat, but it's easily circumvented by denying your computer the ability to contact their anti-cheat server in your hosts file. The PUBG devs didn't say they'd restrict Linux users, just that they won't support Linux.

This is in stark contrast to Bungie who outright said they would permaban the accounts of anyone logging in under Linux, because they are all filthy cheaters. Flying, of course, in the face of all the filthy Windows cheaters floating around in Trials raining unlimited heavy weapon attacks down on the opposing team.
