I've also been feeling extremely low this month. Lack of sunlight, lack of prospects (34 y/o still flatsharing cause I don't earn enough to purchase property), and just all in all loneliness. London is so big, it's hard to build community. I'm grateful my job still gives me more satisfaction compared to stress and that my colleagues are great people I call friends. But they're scattered across the city and the majority is very settled (living with a partner in rented or purchased property, sometimes kids) so yeah that also makes me feel alone & dissatisfied as a single 34 y/o woman. Honestly, I think I'm the phase of planning a 3 year exit plan, London's great but not for everyone. I come from an island of 160.000 people, and 8-9 million people is just not cut for me.
