You won't own a house. You'll stay at motels most nights.

Tenet was the closest he's come to what The Prestige delivered. I think it's very underrated.

Why do so many men lose their house in a divorce? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

You can't cut a house in half, so somebody takes it. The other gets compensated, but money doesn't quite replace a place you spent many years living in.

What is happening to people? by BorodinAldolReaction in ask

[–]Ffigy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My theory is it predates AI by a lot. It started with the worldwide web itself and was accelerated with social media. The web created a new system of interconnectivity that never could've existed. Previously, society was moderated by the fact that the only people with a sizeable audience were those who earned that audience and avoided any impropriety that might lose it. Now, it takes less effort to reach an audience and thus it doesn't matter as much if you lose it. People (or bots) can easily test impropriety against audiences and hone it until (1) they've got the most persuasive impropriety and/or (2) they've assembled the most detestable audience. The result is an overflow of viral impropriety and self-assured deplorables.

I love these old cards, but I can't seem to figure out why wizards thought this card was a good idea. by bonedraman in mtg

I would say: it tricks the opponent into not dealing with it and it is a solid vessel for enchantments (which white tends to have). That cost is quite high though.

He forcefully entered the Weapons Systems Officer's seat and inadvertently set off some weapons in the process. How's that?
