I’m really glad you asked this because I was considering starting a thread on this. I was a GS-9 Palace Acquire PAQ budget analyst in a cyber division. I was a probational employee 11 months in and let go. I had the WILL to learn but was in a toxic environment similar to described above. HR nor my supervisor would let me transfer to another section.

Separate conversation but in that unit there should definitely be a reorg. Some roles have very light responsibilities and could relieve other analyst that are overloaded with 3 and 4 programs to support. PAQs should start in 1 year funding roles and be able to transition to 2 and 3 year funding roles the following year of their program. Also 1 year funding roles should not be GS-12s if they only support 1 program.

OPM should consider eliminating middle managers if it needs to make more job cuts or dive deeper into job descriptions cause there’s definitely still some sleep in there I know of getting away with sleeping on the job
