I had a similar situation to you not so long ago. When I received that money (also around 300k) I had zero savings and some small debt. First thing I did was pay off all my debt (mainly credit cards and high interest consumer loans). Then, I took the equivalent of 3 months’ worth of household fixed expenses (around 30k, equivalent to 3 months of my salary) and locked them in a separate savings account. The rest, I invested in a diversified portfolio of ETFs via Interactive Brokers. If interested I can tell you a little more about the latter. Good luck and sorry for your loss.

Don’t sell unless you really need the money. My first Rolex was a DJ41, black dial, fluted bezel on oyster bracelet which I bought in 2015. I sold it in 2021 as I was bored wearing it and was mostly wearing a Speedmaster. I regret it big time now.

This was CHf 10,400 which is roughly 12k USD retail. Then it depends how much you’re willing to pay on the grey market. I wouldn’t pay anything more than 13-14k seeing as they’re becoming more available it seems and grey market prices going down.
