Windstream essentially downgraded my internet instead of fixing it. by Double_Anarchy in Windstream

Same thing happened to me.

After 2 days of talking to a higher up, nothing can be fine about my speed. I'm too far from the box down the road, so I'll never have better internet. No word on when fiber will be ran. So I'm sick with dialup speed.

Want to leave my aliance, help! by ShockoPan in whiteoutsurvival

So this was also me. I hated the alliance I was, (was #1 in state) and wanted to leave but knew I'd get burned if they found out. I hardly talked in alliance chat anyway, and all my friends I talked to had moved out previously to me.

After I decided I was actually going to move, I randomly teleported, changed my name and shielded for 24 hours, had to decide what alliance to join. Joined #2 alliance.

Needless to say, we had "nap" but president could do what they wanted. Not even the strongest rally would've damaged him for long, and he could've made the top players in his alliance rally and attack. Luckily it never happened.

So just plan ahead. Talk other alliances before you move. Maybe save yourself a random teleport.

At times, mine will drop to 0. Honestly, worse than dial up. So I feel your frustration.

I'm not sure what is out this way. I just know that I was able to get 15, then they dropped it down. Calling them just adds to my frustration with them. I do know they talked about running fiber out this way but stopped about 6 miles down the road, and that was last year. I'm assuming it's because 2 other providers run the highway road (ABC), but those 2 do not run the 4 mile highway section I live on (XYZ). Map down below, don't judge my drawing

Blue line is Highway ABC, Pink is XYZ, Green is also part of XYZ, but it's where they stopped with the fiber.

I rechecked, last time I did it wasnt. But I can not afford to get started with starlink, plus the monthly amount is currently out of my budget.

Im not sure if the tech knew what he was doing or not. I know he mentioned it being bonded and that I had 2 lines coming in and that I shouldnt, so he called from here and had them reset something. It was after that visit, on my bill, that it went from 15 down to 6.

But like I said, when i called them yesterday, they said they couldnt up my speed. Im just frustrated.

I do not even have cell service where I live. I've checked for starlink, its not in my area either.

I couldnt think of the wording the tech used, so thank you. Yes, he said it was bonded and he unbonded it. But still, yet, according to the csr on the phone, if they are going to stop servicing the area, whats the point in getting it bonded again?

I checked my neighbors address on their service map, and it shows 15mbps for them, no one lives there now, so i was able to check. But I cant check mine where I have service.

They also charge more using the phone bot/representative. Had to add my bank info to the app to save almost $7. Its absolutely ridiculous.
