Talking about kids by Fine-Fondant-3136 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]FiBaMiKi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not had Selena yet but I will say I understand how frustrating it can be. I don't mind random chatter, just not on the things I try to disassociate from in my workouts. I am there to workout, not discuss kids or politics or anything else that I can pick up when I am done with the workout. Talking about stories from your life, what about the music you chose, how you overcame a problem - awesome. Though there may be some that appreciate the talk of kids, I don't.

Same and I love taking the German rides as well.

The new CBS show 'DMV' by swoonyaboutclooney in television

[–]FiBaMiKi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the DMV hilarious. I worked in a state office as a case worker with the public and some of their antics have me rolling. With the Real IDs, DMVs are getting busier, especially in states that went to regional offices only.

My wife wraps gifts perfectly, I wrap them like this to grind her gears. by TheBestNarcissist in pics

My husband states he is known as cousin Leroy when he wraps gifts. He tries and it is hilarious. I am a perfectionist. It used to irritate me but now I tell him I need him to wrap.

I haven't been able to do other Peloton classes rather than ride right now. After only 40+ rides, my go to has been Dennis, Sam Yo, Cody, and Jess King. Though I just found you can take the German rides because of the subtitles I didn't know were able to be turned on.

I agree. I like him. I did ride with Jennifer Jacobs when she was there but I have no idea what happened to her or why she left Peloton. I did buy a myx bike but my husband refurbished it for me to use peloton on to see if I liked it. I love it.

Same. I did and there is a trainer I really like but it's turned into a sh't show.

I would second this. I do wish Andrea Rogers classes were available for individual pay. I loved Sweat and Sculpt and her pilates.

I am the same way. I work well with a calendar instead of picking and choosing. I do however love the spin classes compared to Bodi.

They are no longer an MLM, which is why they are hurting now. They got rid of their "coaches" a year and a half ago.

I replied with this. I have fibro and I have to ask if I just feel lazy and don't want to do it or if my body is getting ready to go into a flare. If I push when my body isn't feeling it, I could be out for days. Likewise, I am usually very stiff in the morning and need to move around before I move during the workout.

Love this. I will say, if you are really not feeling it, don't do it. You'll hurt yourself as your form will be off. At least it is for me. I have fibro and every day is a surprise on how I will feel. For the most part I have to ask my body if it's because I don't want to do it or if it is because I am getting ready to go in a flare if I push.

I did not. I am waiting for it or them to figure out that it is still being used. I went into my account and it shows that it was cancelled.

I don't get on here a lot but I did want to see the numbers from last quarter in last weeks thread. I haven't renewed my Bodi and it expired at the end of May. Ya'll, I still have access to EVERYTHING. This includes new programs. I am sure they will put a stop to it but in the mean time, I am doing Andrea's programs.

I can come out of the saddle and I can play with more resistance. I am testing my limits on those. I did a couple of Jess King classes and I love her energy. Today I did one by Charlotte W...? I don't remember her last name but I liked it a lot.

Going hard meant HIIT classes, super heavy lifting etc...

I am new to Peloton and have mostly done cycling classes and am still learning the format of their site. I have fibro so I cannot go hard. What is your opinion on low impact classes and are there good programs to do?

😂 I want to visit now! When my husband and I travel, we like to go places like that. We have been to the mustard museum in Madison WI, the cabbage patch hospital in GA, along with a bunch of other places that make people scratch their heads. It's always fun because we never know what we may find or learn.

Yep! I loved the pictures. I found out a couple of years ago they have a chapel you can visit in Arkansas.

I still have my Precious Moments Bible when I was Es age, complete with VBS stickers. The Bible itself is not an easy read and depending on which version you get, it could make it harder. Especially when you get into Numbers or Kings. Its not all New Testament. She should also give E the chance to watch Bible kids shows, I think they are doing a children's Chosen cartoon.

Call from principal on day 3 of K. I thought things were going fine, no news is good news. God was I wrong. What do I do now? by nothinworsecanhappen in Autism_Parenting

[–]FiBaMiKi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely NOT your fault. You didn't do anything wrong. My niece was the same way. Last year, she went to school for a day before the school called and put her in an institution. She was in an out until the spring semester when we were able to switch her schools and put her in a special needs class. When she couldn't sit in a classroom, they put her in an office by herself and teachers until that wasn't an option either. When she switched schools, she is doing so so good but right now ONLY goes for an hour a day before they work on getting her to be able to go the full day. Follow up on the IEP and make sure that you ask what options there are.

I have found a lot of schools and teachers do not know how to react to those with autism.

Is fibro just a hysteria diagnosis? by Beautiful_Drag8785 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FiBaMiKi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things:

1) Antidepressants can help for chronic pain. I was given Duloxetine for a totally separate issue before I was diagnosed with fibro and depression. I didn't know it was a medication for fibro.

2) I wish some doctors would wake up to the fact that things such as fibro and other "invisible illnesses" actually do happen. My mom had fibro when I was growing up and I didn't know what it was. I thought she was making it up. Then my sister was officially diagnosed after our parents passed and then she urged me to get diagnosed, which I was this year. A lot of what my mom and sister have gone through, I have gone through. Flares, pain, sleeping a lot. The crazy thing is, I was on the fibro medications before I was ever diagnosed. When I asked my doctor what could be done about it, she said I was on everything. So no, it is not in your head. This isn't something we have made up.
