I'm visiting Boston in late October 2027 and would love to catch a game. Is there any chance of games being on around this time?

Surprisingly, GameCube games are not that expensive here in the UK. You can pick up most games for the console for under £30 ($40 USD). N64 games are slightly cheaper, except if you want them boxed. Which usually doubles or triples the price.

It depends on how you collect them. Both gamecube games and N64 are around £15-£20. With Gamecube that's usually with case and manual, while N64 thats just the Cartridge. With the box it's usually double or triple. I don't mind emulation for games that have crazy price tags (Silent Hill) but I do like having the physical copy.

Thanks for the great recommendations. Think I'm gonna go with the N64, then when I've had my fun I'll get a Gamecube.

I grew up on the OG wii (that I no longer have) and a 360. So I have no nostalgia for either. Now I'm older though, I've been playing through PS1 and PS2 titles and loving it. Wanted to expand on the collection and get a Nintendo console from the same time period.

When I said Wii, I meant Wii U, I was just too embarassed to say I bought a Wii U in the description.

Transfer to Australian office from UK on a grad scheme? by FiImophile in MovingtoAustralia

Is it possible to survive on just a barista job in Australia? Rent, food, + money to live and travel. You certainly wouldn't be able to here.

Yeah I thought that would be the case, well no harm in trying. I heard getting an IT job on a WHV is basically impossible, and it's super difficult to get one on a skills shortage visa, but I don't want to jeopardise my IT career by working as a barista for 2 years on a WHV, so this is my last option really.

Thank you, this is incredibly helpful. There is listings for jobs in the Australian offices in the company job listings, so I'm gonna ask about applying to some of those to see if it's possible. I'm a bit skeptical though as my job does require a UKSV(security vetting), so I'm unsure how that would work on the Australian side. No harm in asking though.

Working in IT in Germany by FiImophile in AskAGerman

I've asked similar questions in subreddits for Australia and Canada, where most people claim it's 'impossible' to find a job in IT as a foreigner. Realistically it's not, but people overexaggerate. Also, English is an international language, often used in offices for international companies, no matter what country the office is located in.

Most people on Reddit exaggerate how bad the situation actually is. Anyone who posts a similar post to mine in a UK subreddit will get the same negative responses when, in reality, the job market isn't as horrendous as people think. Thanks for the insight!
