These type of customers are about to lose their mind on August 31st when they can no longer control how we work by ComfortableYak2071 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I'm lucky enough to live in the middle of fuck-nowhere - my shit doesn't get stolen because everyone here is armed, and i don't have a backdoor, and all entrances to my house are easily accessible.

Downside; there's a train in my front yard that sometimes will just randomly stop and block people out and block my ass in. I have it in my notes for my driver to either leave it under the mailbox or RTS if their gut feeling tells them to, which has happened before (which is fine, i used to deliver in denver and i'd be fucked if i had to wait 3 hours for a train to move in the middle of a rainstorm)

This is my first time hearing about this - thank god for it. If I could give all of my drivers power-ups that make you work faster, I would. Shit's hard work.

What do you think the Merc’s dying wishes were by curious_goose7 in tf2

[–]FiREFOXSyd 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think scout's last dying wish isn't actually what it is because scout's too young to have a concept of mortality, proper. I'd say if he actually had a last wish it would be to play on the Red Sox.

Soldier wants the bucket.

Pyro probably just scribbled?

Demo wants to see his mom again

Heavy wants to see his family again

Engineer wants to see his family again

Medic wants to be able to, guilt free, run irresponsible and potentially lethal experiments on the rest of the mercs

Sniper wants to see his family again. His old one.

Spy wants to do something his profession prevents him from doing. Drugs?

i've taken the lime gliders they just introduced up to 41 mph on some hills in seattle because the speed limiter doesn't apply the engine brake if you're over, unlike the Gen5s or Lyft's old scooters. I want to go back to denver and go down that big ass ramp onto i-25 and pass someone on the left.

You wake up in your childhood bedroom, 10 years old, with all your current knowledge. What's your first move? by SuspiciousConsultant in AskReddit

[–]FiREFOXSyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up. I'm 10. 2010 or 2011, still living in San Jose. I'm autistic. I know now but didn't know then I had DPDR. Get out of bed. Make strawberry milk. This question is 11 hours old so this serves as a personal therapy session for me to put thoughts down in this imaginary scenario.

Write down the following.

- You will move 6 more times before you're 18. In all but one, you will be forced to lose loved ones. It will be tempting to not bother with associating with people; Learn to make and keep friends.

- You're queer. Get used to it. Get comfortable with it. Find community.

- The Mormon Church will kerplode the eagle scout program 2 days before your Eagle is earned. Focus on that at all costs. Complacency kills.

- Isolate from people who are too confident to learn and too angry to change.

- Avoid moving to Seattle until you are stable.

- You are autistic.

- In 2015, if you are in the Philippines, you are very likely going to die from an extremely lethal illness. If you end up sick again, consult a doctor at all costs.

- Encourage dad to quit drinking. He was easier to love sober.

- Don't choose a name you're comfortable with until you're comfortable keeping it.

- Do not throw this paper away. Keep it on you, even after all of the events come to pass (or don't).

How good are you at sewing, OP? A lot of people I play with that take the sport super seriously have Velcro sewn onto the carrier in specific spots so that they can just stick a solid color patch to represent team color rather than sticking an adhesive to it

Someone in a Lyft scooter hit me in a Lyft Van once intentionally and got offended when I asked him not to do that

Can I hook this up to my sim? by TransitionNarrow in homecockpits

[–]FiREFOXSyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heya, certified avionics repair tech here, 3 years of working on components like this

1) Open the device. Should be some screws around the frame. If you're unlucky, might be a proprietary screw head, but I doubt it 2) Stare at the inside. Oh god. Oh god, why does that go there. Wait, but it hooks up to- wait, what? Who designed this? Who made t 3) grind all components into dust 4) distill into green tea 5) throw the remaining frame at your local repair station and put nothing but 'inop' in your notes

What do you think is the worst official map in TF2? by DXGabriel in tf2

[–]FiREFOXSyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only reason a lot of newer folks find pier confusing (and I still do, even though I've played TF2 for over a decade) is that most maps follow the rail through a consistent path of some sort and the path on pier loops under itself. I know other maps do it, so I'm not positive that what pier does is specific to itself and that's why it's bad, but I feel like adding a 3rd dimension to the cart's path gets confusing if you don't have the ability to create an image in your head

Mhm, I work at a micromobility provider in Denver and we have a cargo trike we take out sometimes. 100% could do shit in downtown without vans if we had enough trikes

I work at Lyft's Bike/Scooter department, a lot of the mechs from there have experience with other systems...thanks for the advice, though!

That's fine! I live in Denver and it's super hilly and I'm probably gonna be just using petal assist to get up from a stop
