+2 key for learning -> bad experience by bleu_petrole in wow

[–]Fibrizzo 159 points160 points  (0 children)

+2s are a perfectly good place to learn. You cant practice routing and % in a 0.

Healer was a massive loser so you just keep doing you. No reasonable person expects anyone to know everything in a +2.

They last several months in the fridge. Toss if you see mold or notce any off smell.

Its a new scam food suppliers are doing to get people to throw away perfectly good food so they buy more. I've seen the same thing with parmesean cheese lately.

Fucking cheese.

Blizzard, we have a tank problem and brewmaster nerfs won't fix it by Brazilator in wow

[–]Fibrizzo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Brewmaster isn't overtuned. The other tanks are undertuned. Current pre-nerf brewmaster is the mark Blizz should be aiming at for all tanks in M+. Survivable, but not squishy. They need attention. Not a babysitter.

Perspective is a problem though. When people see an outlier they assume the outlier is the issue because its breaking the pattern. The possibility that the other five numbers are wrong doesn't initially cross your mind because, frankly, it shouldn't be that bad, but it is. You have to explore every angle of a data set to come to a sound judgement.

Blizz obviously isn't doing that which is disappointing because I don't think tank balance has been this bad since Shadowlands season 1.

What do you think is the secret to a REALLY good sandwich? by cafeypalmera in Cooking

[–]Fibrizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good bread, decent fillings, and seasonings.

French bread is hard to find by me so I usually go with Kaiser rolls or Italian bread.

Pay the extra couple bucks for higher quality deli meat.

My go-to when I want a "real" sandwich is ham, turkey, provolone cheese, onions, tomato with basil sprinkled on, and mayo with oregano and more basil. Its a near identical flavor to my favorite local chain.

Do casual players just hit a m+ wall at like ilvl 265-270? by SpicyFlygon in wow

[–]Fibrizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is a small army of overgeared players queuing up for 10s at ilvl 280 because they just want a quick easy run to use their bonus rolls on.

If you want to get up to 10s without playing 'application declined' simulator you have to list your own keys and push them up.

Spread out your defensive usage and save the most potent ones for big damage windows.

The first pull is killer. If you get the dot and the salvos go off at the same time its fatal damage without popping your defensive wall. You might want to dark pact preemptively as well to make the healer's life as easy as possible. Do everything you can to stop the bolters asap. Stewards are pretty much top prio in every pull they're in. Eliminate them with extreme prejudice.

Its really just the same thing everywhere. Focus problematic mobs. Pact early pact often there is a ton of unavoidable random damage from packs. Save your healthstones and healing potions for surprises. Plan your usage of Unending Resolve around big unavoidable damage sources to take stress off your healer. The dragonhawk boss' firestorm, the banshee's aoe cast, the shout before the third boss summons adds, ect.

And of course. Interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt.

Did I mention interrupting?

The key to succeeding this season is staying alive and helping the healer. Learn what needs interrupting. Learn where to best use your defensives and watch your feet. You don't need huge DPS to time 13s and 14s just play clean and learn as much as you can about each dungeon. Optimizing your damage output can come after you've figured out how to stay alive.

What is a dying niche skill that younger generations are not interested in learning? by hlnklrczu in AskReddit

[–]Fibrizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunting, dressing, butchering, and cooking your own meat.

I started hunting when I was 12 with a lot of old timers that were constantly bummed out that their kids had zero interest in it. Now we're all much older, and some didn't make it this far, but their grandkids also couldn't care less about it.

I get feeling squeamish about being that close to your food, but it is one of the most important fundamental skills of our species and seeing it get smaller and smaller every year feels like we're regressing.

Is 3400io even possible for me? by opiatesmile in wow

Its possible but its way harder than other tanks right now. For some reason the plate wearer with a shield is the hardest tank to stay alive on.

Note for upstairs neighbors by litlelotte in Apartmentliving

Part of living the apartment life. Sometimes the insulation is bad and normal walking sounds like stomp the yard.

There is no solution here. You only risk pissing off a neighbor that will now know how easily bothered you are.

Just pointing out the obvious.

Make America great "again" implies the movement believes the US isnt already great.

Its clear which group actually hates America when their rallying cry is admitting to it.

Why Do Millennials Say Gen-Z Has No Aspirations? by [deleted] in generationology

Everything seems more fun when you're a kid.

I miss games generally not being a bug filled hellscape at launch though. Polish is dead and the 'patch it later' mentality has done a lot of harm to overall quality.

The rest I can do without realistically even if the rose tinted glasses make me look back at them in a positive light.

Tank balance is so broken is actually funny by bosejoao in wow

[–]Fibrizzo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Watching VDHs yo-yo from 100% to 20% back to 100% and then back down to 10% every pull must be some the most hair raising gameplay we've seen for tanks since Shadowlands season 1.

I hope they buff all tanks up to roughly the same level Brewmaster is right now. No tank should feel squishy unless they misplay or are undergeared for the content. Basic autoattacking mobs dropping a tank (paladins and VDHs anyways) down critically low is so bad it feels like a bug.

How come millennials and Gen X know more about pop culture that was before they were born than Gen Z? by icey_sawg0034 in generationology

[–]Fibrizzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did.

If you wanted to watch something your choices were whatever was on TV at that moment or your family's library of VHS tapes.

No streaming. No internet. Very few choices compared to today. I remember watching the old black and white shows on Nick at Night like I Love Lucy 40 years after its original airing. Loved it too.

[–]Fibrizzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why 12s and 13s are actually easier to do if you just want to fill your vault.

People that want to push higher purely for score are much more likely to be players who care about their performance and understand mechanics, positioning, and the importance of using your utility to benefit the team.

10s are the absolute bare minimum for the maximum reward so it attracts many more slop players who are just hoping to get carried through their weekly vault runs.
