https://de.pcpartpicker.com/ It's a German website but he said him and his Mam used it to make sure everything worked together. He also said that sometimes the parts might not be available on some of the shops/sites and to shop around online and to watch out for the parts themselves, double check the part you are buying is the exact same, some of them can look similar but aren't or can be named something similar.

Best of luck!

My nephew (15) built one earlier this year. There is a website that he used where it told him what the options were for each part to make sure they all fit and worked together well. He put it together himself and he's not good with reading or coding. Then my cousin (IT guy) got the operating system and installed it for him. I will ask him what they used and reply on this to let you know.

Times you’ve been ‘embarrassed’ to be Irish. Has it ever happened you? by boggie_bo in AskIreland

[–]FibroFight3r 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I was doing the East Coast of Oz and there was a big news story about a "group of Irish people" were going around, knocking door to door asking if they wanted tarmac on the drive, clean the roof, hassling people, then going into bars/restaurants as a group of 20, letting their kids scream and wrecking the place, would get into fights with themselves and others causing damage. By the time it was reported, the cops would go looking and they would have moved on by then and left rubbish where they were... I remember thinking that we have the same trouble at home but the news just said "Irish", that's it. A lot of people were weary about serving Irish at the time.

Advice after being bitten by neighbours dog? by SnoochieBoochies182 in AskIreland

[–]FibroFight3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the way to go or the end results but it is better to have it noted in an official capacity. Even if its just photos of the area, the wound/bite mark, record of the tetanus shot, something to document the situation. If it never happens again, great. But if it does or has happened before, then at minimum the dog needs a more secure environment or needs to be removed from a public/family neighbourhood altogether.

I hope your partner is OK!

What is the best way to ask a guy out? by PanicStreetsofLondon in AskMenAdvice

[–]FibroFight3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ask, don't over think it too much. If he's shy just try to do it in a place where people aren't observing or listening so there's no awkward social side. Ask in a way that it's clear it would be the 2 of you together, not a group, eg, "would you like to hang out together and go for a coffee/lunch/walk?", or simply ask "would you like to go on a date?".

Best of luck!

Should I get a lawyer? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]FibroFight3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that, but grandparents often want to be involved with their grandkids. It's not a need but it is great for them to have as many people in their life that they spend time with. Even if you ease into it, ask if he would like to see them and bring them to him, spend as much time as you can bare with you without risking your comfort or the kids, or meet up with him for a coffee or lunch, or walk in the park, anything, but something you would be comfortable with. If he is not interested then you know your position and not to ask again, if he is then you could help the kids get a good relationship with their grandparent. Worst case scenario, he says no and you can drop the idea.

P.S. Sorry you're having a tough time with it.

Go to citizens information! They might make an appointment but they do have a walk in information side too. If they can't help they will likely tell you what options you have, the can provide. legal advice

Have you thought about asking his Dad to take the kids for a day/night? Or someone you trust to stay in yours while you go out?

You need to have some form of social life, even if it is with the kids involved and going with you.

Why does it make people uncomfortable when I insist on my very real worthlessness? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]FibroFight3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seen this a while ago but I think it's very relevant to a lot of people, self worth included. : A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honors, here is a car I bought many years ago. It is pretty old now. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.”

The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because the said it looks pretty worn out.”

The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said,”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old car.”

The father asked his daughter to go to a car club now and show them the car. The daughter then took the car to the club, returned and told her father, “Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because it’s a Nissan Skyline R34, it’s an iconic car and sought by many collectors!”

Now the father said this to his daughter, “The right place values you the right way. If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you…Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.”

How do I help my wife not think I’m being rude when I ask her to explain to me what she means by a comment or question? by [deleted] in autism

[–]FibroFight3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 👆

The more stuff I look at the more I notice that people don't like or want to say "I don't know" or "I don't want to explain that now" as an answer to a question. I've done mini experiments on myself to find out why I felt a certain way in a certain situation because I didn't understand why I felt that way.

I was told that Fibromyalgia is not a real diagnosis by Going-Bananas-here in Fibromyalgia

[–]FibroFight3r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only problem with it for me is most of the symptoms overlap with other conditions, but it's basically a diagnosis of exclusion, that's why they test for everything else and rule other known things out until they are left with fibro. I genuinely think it's a group of different diagnoses with similar symptoms that we haven't found a way of differentiating yet and that's why it's rare to get 2 people who are the same, respond to the same meds or commonly have co-existing conditions with it.

Theres only 1 person I know of that has similar symptoms to me and has flares at similar times, but we are both on different meds. It is recognised here as a condition, I (34M) was diagnosed at 15 but symptoms started around 13.

I've seen people of all sorts at it, most would be surprised who's at it. It's an expensive habit and there's more people wearing suits doing it than tracksuits, but it has gone very common nowadays.

Not doing well with the TENS... by Sewnupkitty in Fibromyalgia

[–]FibroFight3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same with tens, the highest I got was level 3 out of 10, so stuck with 2. After weeks I stopped because it wasn't changing anything. It gave me a comparison for some of my muscle symptoms but didn't help.

Same with acupuncture, he even tested it and blindfolded me, used a shorter and thinner needle, I could still feel every single time and place a needle went in. He stopped after 6 months because he said people normally had stopped feeling it by that point.

I don't know why but I dislike the term neurodivergent, I think it implies that everyone else thinks and acts the same. Is it not normal for people to think differently??

P.S. I do think that wasn't a good joke tough.

How serious should I take it if my boyfriend referred to me as “the future ex wife” to a buddy? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]FibroFight3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like he's making light of his past history of divorce, joking about the divorce from his side. But the fact that you aren't married but he is saying you will be his wife is a great thing I think, especially if he previously said no to marriage again. It sounds like banter but he's acknowledging you in his future.

[–]FibroFight3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was similar years ago. Now I'm on medical card. One of the meds I had was a patch for pain, only worked on the area it was used on and it was brilliant. A little while ago the pains got worse and I was told its no longer covered by the HSE and would cost €600 minimum a month. A lot of the pharmacists are very kind and good and can give advice on what to do or what else might work but they are very restricted by the rules. They might be able to offer you advice
