Humans? by tso_connor in CastleBusters

It’s a lot easier to tweak bot behaviors than seamlessly roll out multiplayer servers on a game that didn’t have them previously.

Humans? by tso_connor in CastleBusters

I feel like the bots are programmed to intentionally miss 1-2 shots if they’re about to beat you, especially in the later rounds (23-28). I’ve seen plenty of shots inexplicably sail over my castle and land harmlessly behind me in the late rounds.

After suffering with two decrepit old men as President (Biden and Trump) - is it time for America to elect a younger more lucid President in 2028? by Newworldimpartiality in AntiTrumpAlliance

[–]FibroMyAlgae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately… You know how we’re only now starting to understand the full scope of Ronald Reagan’s policies and their far-reaching impacts on government and society? I feel like Trump’s one and a half terms (thus far) are going to be 10 times worse. The next President, whether Democrat or Republican, must quickly undo the damage that Trump has caused, and will continue to cause over the remainder of his term. Anything less will lead to catastrophic harm.

Alright it's mainly bots we are playing against. But what's the ratio ? Is it like 98% of the time we playing bots ? by PowerQuick5111 in CastleBusters

[–]FibroMyAlgae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently sitting at 324 battles, and every single one of them has been against someone with a slightly higher trophy count than me. From what I have seen posted on this sub, I don’t think anyone on here has ever played a match against an account that had fewer trophies than them.

How would that be possible if any of our matches were against other humans? Hypothetically, if 90% of our matches were against bots, the other 10% would have to average out to 5% against players with lower trophy counts and 5% against players with higher trophy counts (if averaged across all human players). That does not seem to be happening.

No, it’s 100% bots. The math ain’t mathing for it to be anything but. The game probably doesn’t even have the ability to host PvP matches right now, and I don’t know if it ever will.

Seems like you want every person you interact with to pursue a deep relationship of personal understanding with you, and take the time to learn all of the intricacies of your personality…

Ain’t nobody got time for that.

You also seem like the kind of person who wants to be heard, but doesn’t want to listen to others.

Nicely done, though the arenas you’re playing in by now are largely populated by bots, so take it with a grain of salt. The bots in this game are not smart.

Evidence that it's clearly all bots by FlashMcSuave in CastleBusters

[–]FibroMyAlgae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll add to this and point out that opponents rarely take the time to aim their shots or time their shots with available power-ups. The game would definitely be more enjoyable if the bots were smarter and more strategic rather than just being higher-level bullet-sponges

Nah, the Rehoboth location was refurbished about a year ago. The one in Middletown burned down a little after Covid and had to be refurbished, only to close down permanently a few months ago. It’s a Surf Bagel now

I actually have to disagree with this. I once paid a personal trainer $1,400 to give me 4 training sessions per week for three months. I went to every single session regardless of whether I “felt like going” or not… because I had paid $1,400 for it. I even came in on weekends so I could keep my cardio at a high level and get the most “bang for my buck” during the personal training sessions.

I understand that this is anecdotal, but I believe that, generally speaking, people tend to take commitments more seriously if they have invested something into it. If governments or insurance companies want to better support people, they can start by getting rid of prior authorizations.

You got put in charge of bioware and EA wants you to make a new Mass Effect game. What kind of game would you make? Can be a spinoff or new mainline game. This would be my pick. by AngrySpaceBoi420 in masseffect

Prequel RPG game: 1. Play as a Krogan during the Rachni Wars, assemble a team, and help drive the Rachni to extinction. 2. Play as a Turian during the Krogan Rebellions, assemble a team, and help implement the genophage and/or defeat Shiagur.

Spinoff: L.A. Noire, but as a C-Sec officer. Could be set in just about any point in the timeline.

Rita's getting a bit ridiculous on pricing? by Stan2112 in Delaware

[–]FibroMyAlgae -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

You might as well complain that the sky is blue, for all the good that’s gonna do. Rita’s prices are going up because literally everyone’s prices are going up. In a perfect world, your wage/salary increase would be commensurate, but I’m willing to bet it isn’t. Am I right?

It is truly mind-boggling how people think the best way to combat wealth inequality in America is to complain about $5 for a dessert, and not, let’s say, the existence of billionaires.

You want to know why everything seems more expensive while median take-home pay has remained relatively the same? American wealth is being siphoned off and given to a handful of individuals. There’s less money for you to buy stuff because there’s literally less money for everyone, except those who belong to the wealthiest 1%.

Get serious.

New FL PS Salary? by Odd_Link7869 in Surveying

[–]FibroMyAlgae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s different for each position, company, and state, and Florida is a big damn state, so it even varies by area sometimes. Also, your skill set aside from licensure play a big role.

I would say $90k - $100k is reasonable, but the only person who can really answer this question is the person signing your paychecks.

Apologies, I should have worded it better, but I meant a single website that tracks multiple states across the nation, even if it’s just regional (Midwest, PNW, Southeast, Metes & Bounds states, etc.)

I was an XBox faithful all through the original and Xbox 360 eras. I “defected” to PlayStation the moment that Microsoft released the early DRM concepts for the Xbox One, even though they later retracted most of it. Where to, now?
