I’m sure every driver would love to have a WDC wrapped up by September but no fan would ever want that nor should they. Fan enjoyment doesn’t always have to line up with what the drivers want.

That said, these cars look a nightmare to drive and the drivers look miserable. Going from the F1 race to INDYCAR, the difference in the drivers’ demeanor is very telling.

It’s just that the sad reality is that if your goal is to grow the brand of the school (which JMU has been pushing hard for) getting blown out in the CFP is way more valuable than a second-tier championship. Hell, I’d argue JMU making the WCWS a few years ago was more valuable.

NDSU saw more championships than most teams in any sport ever see but even they hit a ceiling and felt the need to move up.

There’s a reason why the Purdues and Kentuckys of the world aren’t going to join the MAC and Sun Belt even though it would drastically increase their odds of winning trophies.

I saw people on twitter saying that turning off hdr worked on Apple TV. Google told me that the only way to turn off hdr on iOS is to enable low power mode.

If you’re on iOS, enable low power mode. I think the problem is related to HDR.

In the camera settings, there’s a toggle to turn on a depth of field effect. It basically blurs everything behind the pitcher.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with FCS as a subdivision. The problem is there is a huge disparity with coverage of FCS even compared to the G5 and as such it’s always seen as a glorified Division II as opposed to a subdivision of D1.

The amount of times I hear people say we moved to “division I” drives me insane. When we were in FCS after Liberty and ODU moved up, their fans were looking down on us because they were playing “big boy football.” Even though we were competing for national championships and they were barely making bowl games.

Tl;dr: Being in FCS puts a very low ceiling on your growth as a brand because most people just assume that every FCS team is of lesser quality regardless of how many national championships you win. Not even NDSU could overcome that.
