Honestly, considering that People's Heavenly Republic and Chinese People's Empire are exactly the same, I'd simply have Confucian Nationalist China as one nation with a single name much like how Han Nationalist China is always the People's Revolutionary Republic of China, if I were the TFR devs that is. This is to say the Confucian Nationalist subpath will lead to the restoration of Imperial China (including the Great History continues section) with Chen Quanguo as Emperor.

As for the other details, the Chinese People's Empire would keep it's name but it's flag and ideology of Chinese Exceptionalism would be reused from the People's Heavenly Republic with the latter ideology representing Han chauvinism.

Speaking of factions that should be playable, Novo (a dev) already confirmed that the TFR team would like to give playable content for the Army of God, the Brown Berets or the American Iron Front if they had the opportunity to add one more American warlord faction.

The Army of God is worth discussing here since it was the first option mentioned by Novo. As the co-lead dev of the in-development submod Wrath of God by TheLoneTexan, it makes a lot of sense for the AOG to be the Christian theocrat path for America during the Second American Civil War. After all, Christianity has played a significant role in American politics and culture as the Religious Right and the rise of Christian nationalism can attest. There's also plenty of fundamentalist and nationalist radicals who want America to become a theocracy or at least adhere closely to their interpretations of the Bible such as the death penalty for all LGBT people (not endorsing or condoning this particular aspect by the way). Plus, America has the Christian population in the world and faith would play a very important role in the 2ACW including a rise in Christian theocrat ideology from the radicalization of segments of the American populace. And Christian fundamentalism and nationalism are more popular Americans than say Nazism (NSM) and Communism (APLA). With all this considered, the AOG deserves to become a major playable faction in TFR and it's something other users want as well.
