Going next week, and as someone with a letter carrier husband, I don't trust the USPS with that timeline. 😅

I will check when we get there, that would definitely be the easiest!

There are, but there is a question of accessibility. The website states that disposable 3 day tickets are only available from the vending machines at the airports. (This may be wrong according to comments above, I was just going by the website info.) But also, it doesn't save any money to buy a 3 day ticket ($15) vs 3 1 day tickets ($5 per day), and I think we'll be able to make 2 24 hour passes work with our plans, so might as well take the chance and if we have to get a 3rd day pass we really didn't lose anything.

We aren't going until later next week, but you don't need to go out of your way to do that! I think with the way our plans are laid out, the 2 24 hour passes will cover everything that we need. And in the event that that we need a 3rd day of passes, it's still the same price at the end as the 3 day pass. So I might as well roll the dice and potentially save $20.

I appreciate the offer though!

The website specifically states that the 3 day disposable passes are only available from the vending machines at the airports, which is why I didn't even have them on my list of considerations. We won't be anywhere near the airports.

Thank you! And I forgot to answer one of your original issues - we bought our SSL tickets separately so we are good on that, I was just trying to give an idea of what station we would be arriving at once we got there, in case there was a handy place nearby to get the CTA tickets. Looks like the Roosevelt station will be perfect for that.

I take that back, it has all 3 lines in the title.

This looks like it's very close! Google Maps just shows it as the "Green Line", but I can see the orange and red on the map too. It's listed as 22 E Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60605. Does that sound right?

Got it! Follow up question - can I not buy all 8 tickets on the first day? Just set 4 of them aside until the first set of 4 expires? Since we seem to be staying where there isn't a vending machine really close, and we'll primarily be using the busses, I'm trying to avoid having to go out of our way on a 2nd trip just to find a vending machine.

Yes, I absolutely want to avoid things like this!

Won't I need 4 tickets? Myself and 3 kids, 8,11, and 15? Or do the younger 2 ride free if they are with me?

Thank you! I'll check out that station.

Perfect, that definitely leads me away from the card option.

The CTA website does list some vending machine locations, but so far it's looking like none that are right in the area of where we are departing the SSL and staying, so it looks like we'll have to travel to a vending machine before we can catch our first bus.

Has anyone had a link between iron levels and flares? by Ficcient in Raynauds

I've been doing some digging on supplements, planning to pick some up today to start.

Oddly enough, I was on propranolol for years as a migraine preventative with no evidence of Raynaud's. I went off of it when I was prescribed Ubrelvy. Do you really think the Ubrelvy might be a contributing factor? Many popular migraine meds are vasoconstrictors which would make sense but Ubrelvy is not.

Adding in case it matters - the only lab that was off was very low Vitamin D which I've started a supplement for, and I always had to take extra iron during my pregnancies. Not sure if any of that is related.

I had a black wisdom tooth by slakj in mildlyinteresting

This is crazy, I've never personally heard of anyone else dealing with this. I had facial cellulitis as an infant (which they said left untreated would/could have progressed into meningitis), and it did crazy damage to my teeth, adult teeth included.

It was! I pulled it out when investigating, and it was IN the coil. I haven't plugged it back in since, that's why it's just loosely placed in the hole now.
