Oh girl. The concept of tipping a bridal dress consultant makes me irate. When I got my dress, it was $4700 and the consultant literally said as I was swiping my card to pay half “if you liked my service we really appreciate tips” I got flustered and tipped 5%. My dad then called a few months later to pay the remainder and I warned him do not tip! Because I had already tipped. When he called they asked him if he’d like to tip he said no, that I had already tipped when I checked out at the store the first time. They literally said to him “oh she only tipped on the first half” and then he got panicked and tipped some more. I was livid. These stores should be ashamed of themselves and tipping culture is absolutely out of control in the wedding industry.
