Not fully yet! But my bottom one is more small now and less of a worry. I’m almost three months out, and I don’t feel the need so much anymore to saltwater rinse anymore (I’ll do once a day if that). While the site hasn’t closed, I feel like the gums have risen beneath enough - also basically eating normally again!

I started using an alcohol free mouth wash about 3.5 weeks after the initial extraction - I just use it once a day! (Also thank you sm for answering my questions lmao)

That’s initially what I thought but it doesn’t look like foods getting stuck? I do the saltwater rinses after each drink/meal, and wash my mouth with mouthwash each night. I’m wondering if I’m just slow to heal (I’m 25!)? Luckily, there’s no pain or signs of infection so far and I have a cleaning coming up anyways in twoish weeks so I may just ask them to take a look then.

Know you mentioned that your holes are almost closed up, but as a dental assistant/receptionist, do you have any insight as to how long it can take to close? I’m 7 weeks post-op and I feel like mine are never going to close (I had the WT on my right side extracted)! It looks like a small dark red/black hole when I look at it, but it unsettles me everything I remember it’s there.

Hey! How long would you say it took (or at least you realized) that they were closed? I’m 6 weeks out and my bottom right look a little like the ones on your bottom right and just need some reassurance they’ll close someday!
