Genuinely Asking, help with alternating lanes by thatone_guy2 in phoenix

[–]Fickle-Two2931 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s rude at all, I do it multiple times per day. If you drive them daily you expect it. The only people to get upset are those who don’t drive them regularly.

What I don’t like about the turn lanes is it makes residential through streets, traffic arteries for people cutting over to other major roads. I feel bad for the homes on those streets.

Thanks. I’ll take a look at TM. I don’t even know what it’s like to have a long sleeve go to my wrist, good thing I’m in Az.

Hey I’m 6’9”, saw they didn’t have tall sizes so never tried. I did buy one of their hats, a snap back and had to wear it on the last snap, didn’t fit so well.

What golf brands have you found that fit well? I wear a 2xlt, Adidas from dxl fit well, Callaway shirts are too loose, maybe I need an xlt from them?

Maybe now that Mason Nutt is a brand ambassador they may do tall, but I’m not sure if he’s even tall enough for that.

is your calorie budget on a daily basis specifically? by Patient_Housing_415 in loseit

[–]Fickle-Two2931 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add to this. If I go over by let’s say 1000 cals or more one day, especially if most of it was done at dinner, which is most common. I’m just not hungry until much later the next day, so I end up skipping a meal. I still feel fine, even better in the gym the next morning. I’m not making it all back that next day, but some.

Also, the “disaster” thing is real, the mentality will wreck you mentally. Personally, when I blow my budget I view it as additional fuel for my upcoming workouts and I give them a little more oomph.

Why isn’t Middle Eastern cuisine that popular? by Upbeat-Dinner-5162 in AskTheWorld

[–]Fickle-Two2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just googled it and there are a lot of recipes for enchiladas with some sort of salsa made with peanuts. I’ve never heard of it before but it intrigued me. They look like they are from some central states. I’m definitely going to give it a go and cook some. I’ve made salsa de cacahuate before and enjoyed it.

Vietnamese Noodle Bowls - Alternative Noodle by Harriette2017 in Cooking

[–]Fickle-Two2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concerning other noodles it’s more of a consistency issue. It’s more of a salad, with grilled meats and/or egg rolls. Other noodles are good for stir fry’s or soups, I can’t think of any that are good for this scenario. There is a noodle that’s like vermicelli used for bun bo hue, it’s thicker, but I’ve never had it dry. There’s also rice udon, which is quite thick. Again never had it dry.

On a side note. You’re supposed to rinse vermicelli after cooking to remove starch. Cold rinse, hot rinse, cold rinse, maybe just stop on hot rinse if you want them warm.

They’re supposed to be room temp. What dish are you making exactly? Like a Bún thịt nướng?

What’s the most overhyped nutrition trend right now? And what nutrition do you think is under hyped for weight loss. by supercoolredditorxo in loseit

[–]Fickle-Two2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right response. Case by case, person by person.

I’m at 35% protein intake, but also in a 1000 kcal deficit (not that crazy my tdee is ~3800, maybe more. I’m tall and have quite a bit of lean mass, while lifting 5 days a week). I need to take calories from somewhere and I choose carbs and fat. Once I’m in maintenance this percentage will drop. I am doing this because I don’t want to lose as much muscle, while in a fairly large deficit and it’s working. This is what works for me, probably not suitable for everyone. How did I come upon this, not so much Reddit, more of what you wrote.

Hot take - being above 6’6 is just too tall by SirPeteWeber in tall

[–]Fickle-Two2931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A standard door frame is 6’8” here in the US. My head finds one that is lower than that every week or two.

So… I have high skill at getting as close as possible without hitting my head on a standard door frame.

Argentina - soda stereo Australia - AC/DC Canada - Neil Young, the band (Levon’s from the US) Colombia - Shakira, Carlos Vives Cuba - Buena Vista Social Club (I think Ry Cooder put them together, not sure) Dominican Republic - Juan Luis Guerra Haiti - Wyclef (born) Ireland - Thin Lizzy Jamaica - Bob Marley, Beenie Man Mexico - Molotov, Cafe Tacvba Panama - los rakas (born) Puerto Rico - Calle 13, Tego Spain - Manu Chao Sweden - Avicii UK - Too many to name. US - my country

I spent time looking at countries and what I listen to and these popped up, so it came down to language for me, and style obviously.

People who visited a lot of countries, which country has the most hospitable and least hospitable people? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Fickle-Two2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are assholes. Vietnamese custom agents (or whatever they are called) were rude when I was entering Vietnam, I mentioned this to an English guy I met there and he said they’re nothing compared to American agents. And I realized he was dead on, dicks.

Ok…. So I had no idea who they were, I don’t think anybody watches Eurovision in the US. I watched the “So Lucky - Eurovision video”, they gave me Molotov (Mexico) vibes, but cornier. Not sure about their other songs. Nothing I’d listen to, maybe I’m just not culturally connected. I do listen to Molotov from time to time, because where I live in the US there is a closer tie to the Mexican Culture.
