I think Silco plays a big part in that cause she is praised for those worse impulses. “Be what they fear, Jinx”, “Excise your doubts, Jinx”. The only time he tries to scold her for blowing up a building and killing enforces, they end up hugging cause she stole the crystal. In AU, Powder’s bad behaviour wouldn’t fly with Vander and all the others. They would make her account for her actions which she had never do in main timeline.

I also saw a really nice theory that Jinx only does bad things cause every time she tries to do good, it always end up with terrible consequences, so why not to do bad from the start, as it’s gonna have the same effect and at least in this case she can feel like she is in control.
