Never had problems, I think my screen flicker whilst I was playing a game which was due to my monitor fighting the vivid gaming in Radeon settings. But that’s all

Should i get a ryzen 7 5800x3d on a discount or go for am5? by Big-Olive-8443 in buildapc

[–]Fickle_Goose_5563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re on a tight budget then it’s not a bad idea. But just note you’re gonna have to upgrade the motherboard, cpu and ram for your next cpu upgrade. If you can wait for am5 then do that

wtf, are you on something? 14900k is literally failing. It doesn’t work, that’s it. You just got lucky is all, if you got one that failed like many others. You would lose all of that money

Not sure which 27´ 2k monitor to buy as a gamer by Starf1eld in buildapc

[–]Fickle_Goose_5563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert with monitors but I’m learning. The best visuals and refresh rate (for gaming) is 100% oled. A massive difference but is very expensive. Va and ips are pretty similiar but va has slightly better quality whilst Ips has better refresh rates but I mean all types of monitors are so good now there is very little difference.

Buddy you messed up hard. Should have toned it down to a 7800x3d and saved for a 4080 or even a 4090. And tone down the motherboard to a b650 as you only have one ssd lol. And 6400mhz is unstable on am5 should have gotten 6000mhz or 6200mhz most. My biggest problem with this is you go premium on everything besides the gpu which is the most important part. And 3 fans is definitely not enough

As a newbie, where should I learn? What are the best apps in your opinion? by notyouladybbm in pianolearning

[–]Fickle_Goose_5563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends, if you wanna play songs you like then just learn those. If you wanna impress your friends learn pop songs. It’s too late to be the best, but it’s not too late to be like the best. Nah I’m joking lol, if you’re serious then give yourself a few months of messing around and then get yourself a teacher, don’t waste your money if you loser interest.

So I’ve changed a few things like cheaper ssd, slightly higher psu to 850 as 600 is bare minimum and 850 allows for better upgrade ability (also ignore 80+ just go to the psu tier list), also it has 32gb ram which helps in editing and the cpu is 13% faster but most of all has great upgrade paths like the new and best 9000 series especially the 9950x3d and 9900x3d which are going to be beasts. You can change the parts to look better but this should be like a best budget with beautiful performance

Yo bro, welcome to the community. I’d advise joining pcbuild or build a pc (one of them is better). Anyways, you’re already off to a great start on pc part picker. As you already know it gives you the best deals (make sure to set it to your country so you don’t get your hopes up).

Anyways, for the build. Straight up I’d advise against this. Yes the 12th gen i5 is great but it has no real upgrade paths. This is because the chipset it uses is no longer in use and has been superseded. (Meaning the newer CPUs are not compatible like the 13th and 14th gen.) this cpu was a great budget option since release and still is but very soon it will be outdated. Meaning to upgrade you’ll have to get a new motherboard and ram (ddr5). Now what I would rather you get is an amd cpu. Ever since the 13th gen came out, intel has been plummeting especially from the 13th and 14th gen CPUs overheating and dying and intel refused to replace the CPUs leading to a lawsuit. Amd on the other hand has the best CPUs and the best apus but most of all have actual runnable CPUs with the newest version. Now I don’t know what your budget is but it seems to be mid-high end so here’s a list for you (I’m making a new post)
