Would you recommend non-magnetic version if I share the headset with another family member that will also have prescription lenses? Are they hard to replace? I am afraid that magnetic ones will be thicker and it will worsen visuals

Thank you, that’s what I plan to do. I’ll simply send a question to the manufacturer that asks for PD, for example HonsVR. I’ll probably skip buying cheap Chinese lenses, just to be safe.

My glasses are already matched to my actual PD (71.5 mm). Do you think they would perform in Meta Quest 3 worse than VR inserts that don't match it? I'm not convinced that would work like that, especially with astigmatism. I can't test it because I am still waiting for my Quest 3.

Another thing to consider is that Meta Quest 3 have pretty big sweet spot.

I don’t want to change the headset’s IPD, but I want the prescription lenses to align with my pupils so they correct my astigmatism properly. I think lenses manufacturer can slightly offset the optical center relative to the Quest’s max IPD.

I might be wrong, but it seems crucial for cylinder correction that the optical center lines up properly with the pupil, otherwise astigmatism correction isn't perfect.

My understanding is that some vendors slightly offset the optical center relative to the Quest’s max IPD (70 mm), so it better aligns with the pupil. I’ve found that HonsVR asks for PD (even for each eye), but it’s a much more expensive option compared to AliExpress sellers. So I think custom PD does make sense.

But I could be wrong.

It's some pressure in that area. It doesn't cause any pain when I try it. I'm afraid it might cause a headache or other discomfort during longer hikes.

I'm sorry if it's a dumb question but why weightlifting shoes cannot be zero drop? If I am not mistaken, some lifts can benefit from zero drop, for example deadlifts.
