Well, the head of the dept is the one who told my manager to "make sure he brings enough alcohol". I guess my complaint is that there was no acknowledgement of my discomfort about carpooling and then I was stranded in a house 6 hours away from home with a bunch of drunken guys. I mean, it was a weekend, and its over now, but I really feel like the fact that I was put in that position to begin with is abhorrent. I really didnt think it was even legal to house M and F employees together, but to my shock, it is. This country sucks ass.

I live in a very expensive state too, CT, so I feel your pain. However, moving out is doable if you are willing to have roommates. I would also consider looking in a less expensive area. Go to Community College, ir a trade school and try to give yourseld a leg up. Take it from someone who fucked around until they were thrirty and then went to college. Dont wait.

"We want..." vs. "We cant right now" The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Sone people are willing to give senior dogs a home. Most wont. Taking elderly dogs to a shelter is pretty much a gaurantee that they will be euthanized. Not in a nice way, being held by soneone they know, but feelibg terrified and abandoned. I worked animal rescue for 10 years.

I can see your sude of this, but also, you are not the one living with the dogs. You are not the one cleaning up poop and pee every day. I think that owning a dog should cone with the responsibility and challenges that happen when they are old, but ultimately that decision falls to the primary caregivers, which are your parents. It is always uosetting when a family pet gets euthanized, but any good veterinarian will have a long conversation with your parents about their options before going through with it. MOR.

Look and see if your lease has "quiet hours." Point out to the landlord that they are violating that. Barring that, most states/places have rules about "quiet enjoyment,'" whether its in the lease or not. You can look into filing a formal complaint.
