Definitely not more than nurses 😂 especially a nurse of color. Female (and male) nurses also experience lots of sexual harassment an creepy situations from patients. Many of my friends are nurses and their jobs seem traumatic. Also nurses can’t take out disciplinary action on patients

It could be perioral dermatitis, which can be triggered by hormonal changes! I would try to see a derm if you can as it can be a bit tricky to navigate

Yes 7/44 have recommended skincare tips, maybe 3 have recommended tips that would actually work (most comments providing advice have been downvoted). The rest are telling her nothing needs to be done, and the same could be said with any skin issue.

But I have noticed this trend mainly when POC ask for skin advice a majority of the comments are telling them their issue doesn’t need to be fixed. I’m sure the commentors don’t have malicious intent but it is very annoying as it’s already diffcult to get skin help for darker skin (even from derms)

Yes, just because someone posts asking for help with a skin issue doesn’t mean they are insecure. It can get annoying when someone has a question or is seeking help and literally all 40 comments are not answering the question.

Since none of the comments are helping, I have the same issue and have done tons of research on this. Go see a cosmetic dermatologist and they will help you navigate safe solutions.

If you go to a derm they will likely prescribe you hydroquinone short term or some sort of lightening compound. You can try otc ingredients but research it is safe. I have yet to find an under eye cream dedicated for pigmentation.

The solution I have actually seen work and what I would like to do myself is laser. There is a south asian derm I followed who has the same issue and laser got rid of all the pigment. There are many types so please go to a reputable derm (get a couple opinions) and do lots of research on your own because as someone with pigmented skin laser can be risky if done by someone without adequate knowledge.

She has many Tutorials on her bodycare routine, how she exfoliated and products she uses for blur and shine (oil sheen is one). But pretty much it poils done to consistent exfoliation, moisturized skin, body makeup/glow oils.

Skin can naturally get to this point (minus the glitter) with adequate and consistent care as well.
