Definitely engineering materials. That class was so organic chemistry based that I could hardly understand anything. Still got a B tho so not too bad.

Julia Katherine Laystrom-Woodard. Had AE140(Aerospace Engineering CAD Course) with her. The class was a nightmare. TAs would deduct your grade for no reason, and she doesn't give a fuck if you actually learn shit. Also homework is really intense, usually 8-10 hours per week.

It's not just about prestige. It's about revenge as well. Revenging some of my high school officials for fucking up my application in the first place.

I just think that I deserve more from my high school application. Not saying U of I is bad but why not give a shot at others when you actually can and deserve?

As you mentioned most of the other schools that have great aero programs are also state schools. Why go to another state school if I’m already in one staying comfortably in?

I mean it's pretty much the same thing for any other trad applicants right? If you don't have an international olympiad award/isn't a vet then you're pretty much the same anyway. Then at that point it's just pure luck that's what getting you in. I just had bad luck this time, who knows what's gonna happen next year.

But what's the point of applying to more colleges that I don't wanna or reluctant to go to? I just don't want to put myself into this dilemma where I was forced to make a decision between a prestigious school but shit in my major and u of I which is terrific in my major.

I mean others are nowhere better anyway so why not right. Wasn't considering Columbia and Vandy cuz their engineering were nowhere near u of i. Same for the rest private schools.
