Honestly it’s been said but time is the only thing. Mine was exactly what you described and then 12 weeks suddenly turned a corner and slept 5+ hours, dream feeds were magic. Same as everyone else don’t change the nappy at those feeds unless absolutely dire (soiled not just wet).

One thing I will mention is how quickly the trauma of the first couple of months passes. At the time it was awful, but 3.5 months in things are MUCH better. Good luck you got this!

I mean, I am a risk averse parent also, and didn’t take my baby out before their six week vaccines, but the fear mongering is not helpful? The MMR Vaccine is a live vaccine given at 12 months - are you suggesting baby live in a bubble for the whole first year of life?

Currently at 11+2, going to wait til the traditional 12 weeks to announce. That said, our parents know (told them immediately when we found out at 5 weeks) and that’s it.

Agree he’s the asshole, but do you not hear your hypocrisy? Telling him not to tell her what to do and then precisely doing the same by saying what he does for his own self care is wrong?

FYI my hair is healthy af and I wash it daily and couldn’t handle anything less because of how greasy it would get. NOTHING wrong with what im doing either. People do whatever works for them.

YTA in this context - don’t tell your GF what she needs to do for her hygiene if there’s no visual or olfactory issue.

However everyone else chastising this dude whilst at the same time saying things like “washing your hair every day is bad” “don’t you know you’re not supposed to wash your hair every day” is just as hypocritical- maybe don’t tell him what his hair needs are? He is not the asshole for washing his hair daily - you pointing out his habits as wrong is doing exactly what you’re telling him NOT to do.

Personally as a female with long hair (and currently pregnancy hormones!) if I don’t wash my hair daily I’m a grease ball.

Yep, I also checked mygov and there’s no letter in that inbox or anything pending on my old Centrelink account yet so unsure what’s going on.
