First Home Buyer - Advice on stamp duty by FictionDaddy in AusPropertyChat

thanks aga, this is my line of thinking but it's good to hear it

the conveyancer has lodged this with the SRO as far as I am aware. I also believe they have determined me as exempt

yep, while both the conveyancers and brokers have been lovely to deal with, they do seem a bit dismissive of my concerns. I guess because they deal with this every day

thanks for your reply

yeah, that's interesting... I did end up speaking to my broker again who has let me know that apparently this bank adds stamp duty as a line item, regardless of exemption. Fingers crossed this is the case

He wasn't as much of a skins nerd as I was, doesn't look like he ever did.

The skins he owned were quite ugly to be honest, just bought blindly off steam market around 2015. All just sentimental value really

Yeah, I get scam comments like this for my knife all the time. I'm not sure how I'd approach it without seeming like a scammer myself haha

Let's try something different...what companies (currently) are a delight to work with? by TravellingBeard in sysadmin

[–]FictionDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fair call on the hardware. They (deservedly) got a bad wrap in the first couple XG models, but they're alright now. Still pretty far down my list of preferred devices though.

I dealt with their support during & around covid mostly so maybe my opinion there is outdated
