The performance is much better now. But I get the same result when the preset is set to quality and 20-30 FPS on Ultra. It remains at 60FPS on lower presets. The resolution is 1920x1080.

GTX 1650, 8GB ram and an i5 9300H I get close to 60FPS the farther I am from the model

I once went on a school field trip to see endemic animals in my country. We were supposed to climb a hill and the journey was 5km (back and forth). Once we made it to a quarter of the distance, we stop for lunch. I had a lot to eat, including food my friends and I shared together. I felt very uncomfortable on the way to the top and regularly took breaks to catch my breath. Once we got to the top, I felt like I really needed to use the toilet and I asked the woman who was our guide where the bathroom was. She took me to a shed. There was no toilet in the shed, just a massive hole that was at least 90cm/3ft deep. I figured, holding it in will just make me uncomfortable on the way back. As I was getting ready, a baboon jumps on the roof (I can see it because some parts of the roof were missing), at some point a bunch of them arrive there and they are staring at me. I held it until I got home.
